Auckland, New Zealand producer Montell Pinny, better known as montell2099 returns with an original release after a series of remix releases including his reworks for RL Grime’s ‘Undo,’ Hudmo’s ‘Furnace Loop,’ Louis The Child’s ‘Better Not’ and many more. This original comes to us via Sable Valley, RL Grime’s record label, who montell2099 spent a greater amount of time touring with during 2019.
‘STARS’ is an eccentric future trap track that elevates Montell to the top of his game, showing that no musical elements are off limits in his realm of production. This track combines aesthetic melodies with traditional trap drum structure which curates a warm energetic listen, perfect for this time of year. Clean and detailed vocal chops ride over the top as the whimsical trap undertones shine through letting you know montell2099 has not stepped away from his roots, yet more so adding to his arsenal of production tactics. ‘STARS’ places your mind in a celestial atmosphere that will caress listeners ears.
