Loftii’s ‘It Was Foggy This Morning’ Is Pure And Majestic

by Steph Contant

Despite all the hate it may receive, there’s no denying the effects that a well-produced lo-fi track can have on one’s soul. Among the best at combining the minimal aspects of the genre with soul-stirring melodies and riffs are Loftii, the joint project between Hudson Lee and Matt Mcwaters. Following up on their 2018 album and 2019 dual single, Loftii are back with the first single from their upcoming album, due this March.

Inspired by the aesthetics of an overcast day in Toronto, ‘It Was Foggy This Morning’ is exactly what one could expect from these two talented artists. Textures surround your soul like a warm plush blanket throughout the duration of the track, with gentle chords layered to provide a pleasing sensation. ‘It Was Foggy This Morning’ is not a festival banger meant for the main stage, but a calming, soothing piece that has much more depth and emotion packed with it. Don’t miss the lead single below and stay tuned for more from Loftii.
