MYOPIC SOUNDS is a place for like-minded producers to congregate and grow. When being new to something and wanting to get your feet wet, it can be a daunting task to go through alone. Having a team you can connect with definitely eases anxiety and can make the process more enjoyable. To continue off that, I believe comfort can induce more creativity in the aspect of things not feeling too overwhelming, which allows people to become more vulnerable with their creative release. Starting with a small group of core artists, MYOPIC has curated a family with the goal of supporting one another to allow this collective to stand apart from the rest.
Today we have the pleasure of premiering their latest release ‘FIND THIS’ by Cristiaan Broderick, aka RYNS. “This track came together pretty fast, faster than usual for me at least. I’ve been really inspired by bouncy, danceable bass music lately so I wanted to put my spin on it and make something fun,” says Broderick in regard to the creation process. ‘FIND THIS’ does an incredible job at building on itself and expanding inner elements. Letters are needed to make words, words are needed to make sentences, sentences to make paragraphs and paragraphs to create stories. RYNS does exactly this as you can hear the track structure elaborate on sounds heard in the beginning. “After the track took shape and the structure was laid out I started messing with that ‘damn son’ vocal sample…I thought it would be fun to kind of ‘reclaim’ that sample and re-imagine it in a new way with what’s been going on in bass music over the last couple of years,” RYNS explains.
