PREMIERE: Mind Island & Jordnmoody Combine Forces for Dark, Gritty ‘MoodyMinds’

by Alex Bell

For fans of delicious underground trap music, California-based Jordnmoody should be a name that ritualistically pops up in your SoundCloud feeds. 2019 was a massive year for him, with his track ‘FIU‘, a collaboration with Something, coming in at the #42 spot on our top 50 songs of 2019 list. Connecting at a show in LA with deep dubstep peddlers with psychedelic tendencies, Mind Island, he’s gained friendships and collaborators, with their first cooperative track release ‘MoodyMinds,’ being premiered today here on FUXWITHIT.

Communication is a major factor in the collaborative process. Working with Jordan was seamless, we compliment each other’s styles in different ways to come up with new ideas that help push the track organically. We worked really fast on this one and even started 3 extra tunes during the process.” – Mind Island

‘MoodyMinds’ is a deep dive into sexy bassy beats, taking Mind Island’s soundscapes and adding Jordnmoody’s own ideas into the fold. Jordnmoody’s hybrid trap and bass infusion is prevalent throughout, with ear-tingling bass lines courtesy of Mind Island. This is a joint effort that flat-out works, neither style feeling overbearing at any points and the melding of ideas forming an even more impressive end product. On any high-end sound system this track will thrust forth purring lows with all the other elements perfectly noticeable, a true mind-melter if you ever heard one. For those in need of a hip-shaking romp fest that will also bring out your most wild of arm-waving maneuvers, look no further, as ‘MoodyMinds’ is just what the doctor ordered.

Impressed with Mind Island’s work on this? They have scheduled releases with Bad Luck Club, Psychocybin Records, and the Goodphellas locked and loaded, ready to be catapulted at listeners’ ears later in the year. But for now, check out the scrumptious feast that is ‘MoodyMinds’ for yourself below!
