As a component of Defunk’s latest EP release, ‘Bones’ depicts a warm, tropical collision of styles, which leverages the soft ambiance of a leisurely vocal melody courtesy of SideTripp to create an immediate sense of entrancement before hoisting into a captivating foreground of bouncy, sonorous bass plunges.
“’Bones’ for me was a way to touch on the lighter side of the project. It’s about having that gut feeling when you first meet someone that they are meant to be part of your life. SideTripp brought such a unique flavour of vocal to the track to really boost its uplifting nature, ” Defunk shares regarding the immediate positive impression that surrounded the collaborative efforts selecting the melody for ‘Bones.’
