Detrix & Cancel Burst ‘Forward’ With Latest Release

by Alex Bell

For fans of vicious, ridiculously heavy bass music, the Reno, Nevada based The Missing Links label should be a name that brings instant satisfaction when mentioned. Sporting an ever-growing roster of some of the most innovative minds in the underground scene, they’ve transformed themselves into a sweltering hotbed of talent and growth. 2 of their rising stars, Grant Diedrich and Michael Connors, or Detrix and Cancel respectively, have put their heads together once again for a sensationally aggressive heater of a track in the form of ‘Forward.’

‘Forward’ begins with the vocal sample “send em back,” and the only thing you’ll be sending back is the piece to the 0:00 mark. Rare are the collaborators that can successfully release multiple fantastic efforts in a row, but for these 2 it seems like a breeze. Between Cancel’s gritty, mechanized sounds, and the ever-impressive bassy elements from Detrix, it’s a combination that just continues to work. The 2nd drop is even spicier than the first, with the trappy switch-ups sure to raise eyebrows. If you’re feeling in the mood to go HAM for 3 minutes and 18 seconds, throw this puppy on and let the chaotic energizer-bunny like energy take control.
