PREMIERE: Eater & Edo Team Up On Their Supersonic Single ’40hz’

by Victor Lovo

At FUXWITHIT, we spend more time in the underground than an earthworm, and it almost always pays off. It’s our honor to introduce Eater to you from the FUX fam. Eater is one of those young producers that’s been on our radar for a while now. Hailing from Italy, the young artist had a trendsetting 2019 with his two break-out trap anthems ‘Redux’ and ‘Reset’. We’ve come to love the range of sounds and melodies in his hard-hitting trap records and this time Eater teams up with fellow countryman Edo and their new track ’40hz’.

The tone is set immediately out the gate with ominous ambient synths combined with a syncopated snare & hi hat combo which continues to carry the rhythm masterfully. As we approach the one minute mark we’re introduced to a thick lead sub which pulsates in between that mean snare & hi hat combo, which at this point in the track feels more like a swift slap to the ears. As we reach the second drop, the pulsating sub in the first drop doubles in frequency injecting a slightly more uptempo energy into the track. For the last switch up, the track reaches its final form with all the elements of the other sections combined with insane off-the-wall laser-like synths, sending the listener way past Earth’s orbit.

We caught up with Eater and picked his brain on the inspiration behind his work, “My inspiration came from a lot of different things, movies, games, or just different music that you don’t associate with the bass scene. The biggest one for me though is Skrillex, he’s one of the best and I don’t think I have to sit here and explain why he’s on another planet when it comes to being an artist and knowing how to create a world for your music and your brand.”

Considering the underground European bass scene has recently given us a few FUX favorites like msft. and Krischvn, we got some insight into what’s going on across the pond, “I feel like the underground/trap scene is not very big still and don’t get me wrong new people are coming out quite often that want to make music but the best at the moment are Tryple & Automhate which make more dubstep/riddim but you’ll see them more and more often in the scene and there’s msft which is bringing something really interesting to the scene. I like how the scene in Europe is starting to get more and bigger every day, especially with guys like Nvadrz and Krischvn, they’re showing that no matter where you live as long as you have good music you can achieve big goals.” Don’t miss any of Eater’s releases and go grab this one down below!
