With a strong musical background which includes playing the guitar for over ten years, Locant has been blessing his audience with trap infused singles since day one. His innovative single known as ‘Asylum’ easily takes a play on distortion and various sonic elements to bring out that middle eastern trap vibe we all need in our lives. After throwing down in Los Angeles supporting events with Space Yacht, Locant’s experimental production style is undeniably hard to forget. Leaving his listeners in a state of awe by delivering a fresh new take on the beauty of slow tempo trap, Locant is slowing things down a notch with the release of his Dissolve EP.
Calling his fan base to Locant’s universe of earth shattering sound, Locant starts off the EP with a nasty single called ‘Animus.’ Through the use of tribal instrumentals and reverberating synths, this one is definitely the one to drop it low with the squad on the dance floor. As rumbling bass lines begin to further amplify the track, some may question what is really going on in that talented mind of Locant’s. With a more uplifting vibe when it comes to ‘Hedron,’ high pitched vocals begin to chant through an intense build up. Suddenly, drums clap and a fury of synths fire throughout the track as the tempo begins to fire up. With a perfect blend of distorted vocals and a calming instrumental which phases in and out, Locant’s clear attention to sound design does not go unnoticed with this one. As the rain drops begin to hit the ground, a powerful vocal takes over ‘Stay’ to keep his listeners in his state of futuristic sound design. If some believe slow tempo trap is dead, Locant has just resurrected it in the best way possible.
“I usually hold off on releasing music until I believe I’ve made a significant improvement in sound design, composition, and quality. I feel I’ve reached the point where I can share not only a single, but a small body of work with you all.” – Locant
