Last month we featured a relatively unknown producer by the name of KIKFlIP in our Focus Five segment. Despite having just over 100 followers on SoundCloud, the fresh talent is quickly becoming one of my favourite new producers. Keeping the streak of impressive releases flowing comes ‘Bling’. Utilizing the infectious and syrupy vocals from Future’s ‘Honest,’ KIKFlIP creates a certified slap that takes us back to SoundCloud’s golden era while retaining a distinct freshness. The familiar vocals float over a sunshine inspired melody that feels like cruising the coast with the top dropped. As the word “truth” loops, the track takes a darker turn building into an epic trap drop that only becomes more anthemic with the addition of the Lil Wayne vocal sample that gives the track its name. Bringing Future back in provides the icing on the cake of this incredible banger. I don’t think there’s another producer hotter under 1k followers, I’m just honest.
