If you’ve been following FUXWITHIT for a while, chances are you may remember the name Sable. The Australian producer was a regular on our site from 2014 to 2016 with incredible releases like ‘Mt Moon,’ ‘OMG’ with Promnite, and ‘Realm.’ Yet at the height of his success, he disappeared. Seemingly jaded with the music industry and focusing his time on his career as mechanical engineer, the past 4 years have been nearly silent for Sable, as fans patiently waited and wandered if he’d ever return.
For those that have waited, I am immensely excited to tell you that Sable has once again emerged. The Solitude EP marks Sable’s long desired return to releases with 3 diverse and immersive new tracks. ‘Close’ opens the project with the description saying, “I hope this gives you a sense of belonging.” Fitting for a track that draws inspiration and samples from nature and pairs them with melancholy soundscapes that breathe an underlying hopefulness. ‘Gradient’ enhances the energy acting as “A soundtrack to your personal battles and triumphs <3”. Perfectly fusing dark trap tones with uplifting future bass influence makes this one ready to take on anything. Closing things out with “A soundtrack to the feeling of wanting to be somewhere you’re unable to reach,” is ‘Overwhelmed.’ This one is a slow burner with a progressive punch. What starts pensive and reflective, evolves with each passing second, building in intensity before enveloping into a grande release in the form of future bass. The track brings the feels as distant vocals slowly come into focus over an evocative melody for a conclusion that will have you longing for more.
