If you aren’t familiar with Partica Artists Group, I’m not sure what rock you’ve been living under. The Baltimore based collective has been cranking out some of the most insane songs and its roster is full of young, up and coming heavy-hitters. Two of those artists, GURF and M.E. SWANK, have been passing a track back and forth, and it’s landed on Tribal Trap for a heater of a release today.
Titled ‘Pass It,’ GURF and M.E. SWANK have clearly worked on this track to play to each others strengths. Starting with tribal drums, GURF and M.E. SWANK waste no time in whipping out a bangin’ trap drop that delivers a steady groove with the use of organic drum fills. The second drop is something that fans of classic QUIX would love, as GURF and M.E. SWANK really let the hard lead thrash around, keeping the track grounded with those drum fills and little pockets of negative space. ‘Pass It’ is an instant heater, grabbing the listener’s attention and squeezing an absurd amount of energy into a 3 minute track.
