Besmorph and Coopex join forces on ‘Born to Die’, an epic future bass ballad. Both artists have been cultivating their talents since 2015 and 2014 (respectively) and demonstrate their skills on this lyrically emotional collaboration.
‘Born to Die’ is just as dramatic and seductive as a James Bond movie. Even though both artists are still early in their careers, the quality of the production is mature, with elegant transitions between sections of the track, delicate balances of melody and bass, and clarity in each tone of each chord. There are lots of fluttering synths, echoing ambient bass lines, and sinuous overflows of tension at the bottom of each drop. The lyrics are smooth, not sad even though they are pretty to the point with “Our connection was born to die”, and there is a crispness to the vocalist’s high notes and fluidity in his groove. The melody and lyrics keep the overall vibe melancholic but there is plenty of interesting twists and turns with different sound samples including an electric guitar solo and whispering waifs of flutes.
