EDDIE & Bad Disk stun on ‘Electro Forever’ with a fresh take on a classic sound released on mau5trap.
‘Electro Forever’ echoes the same sentiments in its name as in its sound, which is comprised of fundamental electro house notes and big funky disco flare. This catchy and flirty track is the third and final single from No Mana’s forthcoming Electromag compilation and seems to have been just as much a joy to create. EDDIE states, “This is a rare form of electro house from myself specifically…we decided to go for a fun groove over all else for this record. Working alongside the upcoming talent Bad Disk on ‘Electro Forever,’ enjoy!”
The track starts out with the beat at the front, hot and heavy, and sets the stage for a sultry pace. Slowly the synths build behind it, eventually overtaking the texture, before smoky tones slither alongside. The first breakdown whips up the suspense and lures in the drop, which is as chunky, frothy, and satiating. As the track progresses, the beat just gets catchier, with modern laser sounds hyping the transitions and subtle vocals that create a sexy vibe. This better be blasted in some neon clubs as well as any roller rink, especially on 70’s night; the disco flavors aren’t overpowering but they certainly carry through to the end.
While producer No Mana admits that his Electromag compilation started as a joke, it’s undeniable that electro house is not only popular but remaining that way for the foreseeable future. No Mana says, “This started as a joke between EDDIE, Bentley Dean and myself as to mock nostalgic electro house (mostly the excessive releases of compilations and the ones that were ripped from YouTube). Now, I think the joke has gone a little too far; but we’ll go the extra mile. It’s in our tempo, bitrate, and pathetic crowd size…128 is the number of the beast.”
Electromag fully debuts on September 10 and features Tommy Trash, Wolfgang Gartner, James Egbert, Bentley Dean, and more. But first, be sure to check out ‘Electro Forever’ below.
