Nana Shows the ‘Real Real’ Crenshaw on New Track + Visualizer

by Arielle Lana LeJarde

Criminally underrated Crenshaw rapper Nana has been given the nickname “L.A.’s Next Best Storyteller” by DJ Booth for a reason. His silky-smooth streams of consciousness, soulful flow, and laidback production style are the epitome of West Coast rap’s chill energy. For his newest song, Nana enlists the help of Kent Jamz to sing the catchy hook on ‘Real Real.’

The Los Angeles rapper is the son of a preacher, so his ability to uplift those around him runs deep in his veins. In ‘Real Real,’ Nana’s storytelling eloquently depicts his road to success. He describes his struggle with juggling his music career while working minimum wage jobs to finally quitting to pursue his dreams. While not everyone believed in him from the beginning, he continued to keep the faith and got where he is now. Never shying from his past, those stories still impact him to this day, inspiring him to prosper and put on for his city.

With a mission to build his community, Nana includes clips of Crenshaw in the visualizer for ‘Real Real.’ Be sure to check it out and stream the song below, too!
