When a track dominates the music industry as much as Tinashe’s ‘2 On’ did, you are bound to come across a slew of remixes. Rarely do those remixes stand out and rise above the bunch to become something of their own. Drake and OB O’Brien managed to do this but majority of the tune remained the same. Colorado’s own Paper Diamond recently dropped his take on the track that broke Tinashe’s career. This remix features a whole different drum pattern and melody. The rhythm really brings this track back to life (considering its been played to death) and the mix of what sounds like a reverb-ed 16-bit sample and Tinashe’s sexy vocals make the track a great dance tune. Summer mine. Drake’s homie from Steel City (Hamilton, ON) OB OBRIEN comes through and drops two new joints. He dropped Steve Nash back in January and that track was pretty dope (check it out here in case you missed it). No clue as to what project these tracks are tied to or if they’re just freebies that are meant to rattle in your car during the summer. Either way, they will do exactly that. Both joints are dope. The first, 2 On/Thotful is a remix of the Tinashe and ScHoolboy Q track produced by the dude who’s been dominating the boards for the past 6 months, DJ Mustard. This track also features Drake. Both OB and Drizzy drop some dope ass bars. The next, Hazelton Trump has an undeniable bounce and has the TOPSZN General boasting about his adventures with women. Stream and download below!
