Hot off the release of his V!BES Vol. 3, TroyBoi looks to keep his legend status alive and well with a new remix for Party Favor, A$AP Ferg and Juicy J, out today on Area 25. First released on the former’s Layers album, ‘Wait A Minute’ is a perfect track to bridge two heavy hitting drops in clubs and festivals, with both vocalists laying down scorching sections. TroyBoi seized this opportunity to give the vocal-driven track its own quintessential Troy bounce, eliminating the need to mix it with another track to set crowds into a frenzy. Utilizing the original vocals, the Miami-based king adds his usual crisp rolling percussion and crunchy yet groovy synths to turn ‘Wait A Minute’ into a typical TroyBoi banger. Don’t miss it below.

‘Redlight’ Remixes Give New Life To NGHTMRE’s Massive Collab With A$AP Ferg

Earlier this year, NGHTMRE and A$AP Ferg teamed up to give us one of the best crossover tracks released in a long time. Since then the North Carolina native has given us his grimy trap VIP to ‘Redlight,’ as well as the trap lord himself, Flosstradamus, delivering his take on ‘Redliight’.

Through Ultra Music, NGHTMRE just gifted us with three more remixes of ‘Redlight,’ featuring the wildly innovative bass producer Effin, the ingenious London bass house producer Holy Goof, and one dubstep’s biggest trendsetters Crankdat.

Effin is up first with his nasty iteration of ‘Redlight’ where he reminds us why he is truly one of the best acts coming out of LA. To start the track off, Effin reinvents A$AP Ferg’s verse, trading the 808 heavy trap beat, for high pitch industrial synths that carries the verse throughout the first third of the track. Here we’re met by top-notch sound design along with an impeccable mix-down which truly turns claps into slaps.

Next up, Holy Goof turns up the tempo with his masterful bass house take on ‘Redlight’. Right from the get go we are introduced to the pounding baseline which carries the track throughout. As we approach the one minute mark Holy Goof injects new energy into the track when the main melody takes center stage, being played by grimy synths.

Last but most definitely not least, we have Crankdats powerful dubstep rework of ‘Redlight’. The intro leads with a minimal trap beat which carries the verse, during which Crankdat teases us with his insane mechanical sounding synths. As we approach the end of this section, we are thrusted into a true sound factory, filled with menacing basslines and truly original sound design. NGHTMRE and A$AP Ferg‘s ‘REDLIGHT‘, released a few weeks back, was just a first taste of what magic these two esteemed artists could put together when joining forces. Heavily teased for months, the original track shined a light on A$AP Ferg’s ferocious vocals without undermining NGHTMRE’s crisp beat-making skills, appealing to a wide range of rap and hip hop fans. One thing was missing for bass fans, though, as the lack of a drop had trap enthusiasts wanting more based on what they had heard at festivals. NGHTMRE was well aware of this, which is why he has now unleashed the wicked ‘REDLIGHT’ VIP to put all of his fans at ease. Although the production surrounding the A$AP Ferg vocals hasn’t changed, the talented producer flexes his ability to make a banger in two bass-heavy drops. NGHTMRE and A$AP Ferg Release ‘REDLIGHT’

NGHTMRE and A$AP Ferg show their teeth on their fierce collab ‘REDLIGHT’.

‘REDLIGHT’ is a union of electronic and hip hop essentials, and out now on Ultra Records. The duo have also made a post-apocalyptic themed video for the single which reveals more about the inspiration behind the project. With stormy basslines, orchestral dramatics, and dark tension throughout, both artists’ talents shine on this anthem-ready release.

This aggressive trap track has an old school feel with rich brassy samples setting the stage and reigniting for the hook. This flavoring is contrasted with the icy snare trills and bumping bass line. A$AP Ferg’s verses are as ferocious as NGHTMRE’s backing. There is plenty to get hyped to, especially when Ferg tells us to put our “motherfucking hands up,” making it the perfect track to get energized for a night out or whipping through your own turf.

Meek Mill – B-Boy (Feat. Big Sean & A&AP Ferg)

If Meek Mill can manage to keep himself out of jail, we’ll have access to an entire LP worth of new music sooner, rather than later. ‘B-Boy’ is a cut from Dreams Worth More Than Money and will have to satiate our appetites until the record drops. Bringing Big Sean and Ferg into the studio for this one was wise,
as Ferg’s contrasting style provides colour to the other’s similar flows, while Sean “put[s] everything in motion like -ing.” Amazing. Check out the video below, as well as Big Sean’s new track, ‘Blessings.’
