‘System Failure’ begins with eerie sci-fi sounds floating around in the distance. Wasting no time the brisk build up ushers straight into an inebriating exertion of steady bass frequencies. Moving deeper into the track, each element works together to build a cohesive depiction. If this track were to be painted on a canvas it would look like the creation of a new species while somehow feeling as if you had seen it before. In essence, there is a sense of familiarity by the signature sounds each producer presents yet is portrayed in a way that is unheard of. TOFA and Adiidas met through the world of social media and found a way to assemble a song as if they were a production duo for years. ‘System Failure’ is out now and can be heard in full below.

“During quarantine I gained a lot of free time and wanted to use that time to focus on my music and grow and fine-tune my sound,” Adiidas tells us. Fine tuning is an understatement as ‘Ghost’ may be his most polished piece of work yet. It begins with an increasing thrill of thumps before the drop hits. The track wastes no time striking listeners with pulsing bass which drives the other sounds to the forefront. At the 45 second mark we reach a cool down and slide into the next section of even harder palpitating bass. In the second half, the low ends are out to play showing no signs of mercy. The last 45 seconds brings in subtle yet captivating bars to give ‘Ghost’ even more life.

“I’ve learned a lot during the last six months and have created what I think is a new level of my music I am so excited to share,” says Adiidas. We are as excited to hear it as he is to share it.

Yesterday, Adiidas blessed us with his sixth track of the last thirty days, this time treating fans to a free download. ‘Hood Classic Master 2’ is a perfect conglomeration of what Adiidas represents as a producer, sticking to his distinct minimalist sound while still being able to bring out your nastiest bass face. Wasting no time, the producer’s signature wonk and crisp drums shine in the first portion of the drop, before a short transition ups the bass to another level in an guttural yet pleasing way. The short track is capped off with a third and final drop that encompasses the “new gangsta shit to start your week with” song description.

Setting things of with ‘G’ Ft. Georgia P. Adiidas wastes no time bringing you into his distinct realm of darkness. Pitched down vocals are catchy yet possessive while the backing feels like the soundtrack to a dungeon party. Despite its title ‘Something Pink’ is far from pretty. The distorted bass sounds like the growl of an ancient, recently awakened beast trying to consume your soul with dank vibrations. ‘Mouse’ keeps the dark energy rolling with more dank bass vibes and another feature from Georgia P. On ‘Flexing’ Adiidas swags things out a bit with snapping drum work and some abusive bass. The Ciara sampling ‘Papi’ caps off our descent into the darkness. The looped vocals, “this beat goes right through my chest” are perfectly selected given the amount of low end pulsing through this heater.

“My goal is to always make unique and uplifting beats that are different yet still catchy. I strive for each track to be interesting from beginning to end and not just revolve around a big drop. I want people to get weird and even a little gangsta when bumping my music,” Adiidas tells us.

My Cat illustrates why Adiidas is one of the best up-and-coming producers in the bass music scene. It’s stripped down, hard-hitting and absolutely monstrous. This is definitely not an EP for everyone, but if it is for you, you’ll be amazed.
