PREMIERE: AKAY Impresses With ‘Royalty’

We are proud to unveil the latest work from up-and-coming Manchester producer AKAY. For those unfamiliar, he’s been killing SoundCloud on the low with heaters like ‘Jade Palace’ and ‘you don’t know me’. ‘Royalty’ builds upon this momentum, proving that AKAY is a producer to watch. The track opens with a grande, worldly vibe that exudes class. Entrancing synths pull you in deeper before it hits you with a massive trapped out drop that layers the aforementioned elements with banging bass, slapping 808s and some bent and chopped vocals. The track calms midway through, building for a slightly retooled drop that leverages a Tupac sample which is chopped and looped for an extra pinch of rawness.
