His new release, titled ‘Double-Edged,’ has landed on our planet, bringing with it the heavy artillery, loaded with percussions and bounce vibes worthy of the best from Chuck Sutton or Sam G. As always, creativity heavily overflows from the mind of the NY producer in the most bizarre forms: but always in a way that I could instantly recognize among thousands. ‘Double-Edged’ it’s 100% experimental and bold on one side, but simultaneously extremely fun and gleeful, something definitely not taken for granted when it comes to experimental stuff. All these bongos will rip through your headphones like missiles and will stretch that mouth of yours in a huge smile, while the bouncy pace will give no break to your booty.

‘Double-Edged’ comes right after a lush release with Phuture Collective and helps Alex to score another point in this fantastic 2019, already filled with dozens of Martian’s gems. “Please, embrace the Martian, because this is how it sounds.”

I’m sorry NASA, really. I know that you’ve put so many efforts, 6 months of travel through 300-million miles in the deep space, to catch the first ever recording from the surface of Mars. But, you know, there’s something better than a pitched, haunting, low rumble coming from Mars. Something more bubbly, bouncy, that tastes of future sounds and hovers near the Cuban music galaxy.

Don’t bother me if this doesn’t make any sense for you. Go ask the martian himself, he’s the whiz, the Einstein, the culprit behind this new shining star in the Night Owl firmament. ‘The Recital’ is a remedy against boredom, the nemesis of loop-based tech house tracks. You can play it in repetition for a good half an hour (I did) without actually having the impression of listening to a single three minute tune, but rather a proper DJ set, where the DJ keeps jumping between Footwork, some motherchucker Future Bounce, and Caribbean flavoured tracks.
