There’s nothing like a fresh dose of jump up to kick off your weekend in high gear. Following his debut track on Bassrush titled ‘Don’t Give Up On Me’ featuring Ni/Co, Dux n Bass returns to the coveted imprint today with the three-track Relation EP. From collaborating with Macky Gee, to officially remixing Sofi Tukker, Wiwek, Duke & Jones and more, the German producer has collected a handful of impressive accolades over the course of his career.

Now, Dux n Bass looks to make his individual mark on the drum and bass scene, unleashing a high-octane project fueled by a quintessential European jump up flair. ‘Here To Stay’ featuring ELIAZ and ‘Don’t Give Up On Me’ both share the common theme of utilizing powerful vocals to captivate listeners during the introduction. As the slow build reaches the climax, Dux n Bass showcases his production prowess with punchy percussion and catchy melodies driving the energy forward. In ‘With You,’ the artist opts for pure instrumentality, but stays true to the motif of a tension-building opening and an explosive release of drum and bass in the drops.

Cohesive and lively, the Relation EP is primed for any high-intensity setting. Don’t miss it below.

As followers and supporters of Heimanu since 2018, we are confident in saying that few have carved such a unique path through electronic music than the Sydney-based artist. Self-categorizing his works under the NuRave umbrella, Heimanu has crafted a sound that blurs the lines between wave, trap and future bass, carrying the best elements of each genre and meshing them into euphoric works.

Over the last year, Heimanu’s growth in the scene has only continued in the upward direction, releasing on labels such as NIGHTMODE, Proximity and SABLE VALLEY and collaborating with the likes of KRANE, Juelz and Hex Cougar. These are no small feats, as the ensemble of names are among the pioneers of future bass and trap, and Heimanu joining forces with them displays his true talent.

Despite this growth, the most impressive aspect of Heimanu’s rise is his ability to stay true to himself. Whether in collaborations or individual works, the artist makes his sound heard. Such is the case in his newest track ‘Slumber’ which we have the extreme pleasure of premiering today. Released via Bassrush‘s The Prophecy: Volume 6 compilation, ‘Slumber’ is everything one expects from Heimanu, and more. As my colleague Alessio said last year, the beauty of Heimanu is that his vision is clear. “A vision in which he believes with all of himself and which he has decided to devote himself completely to. He’s slowly exploring it, deciphering it, and giving back to us the various interpretations that come out of this personal journey.” With this clarity comes certainty of a certain level of the emphatic Heimanu sound that he has championed. In ‘Slumber,’ there’s no shortage of this sound, and the artist elevates it with a tension-filled introduction, controlled chaos layered seemlessly throughout the drops, and sheer festival-primed energy.

‘Slumber’ is Heimanu at his finest. Don’t miss it below and catch The Prophecy: Volume 6 in full tomorrow.

Showing no signs of slowing down as he continues his relentless pace of tyrannical releases, the Golden State’s Secret Recipe has come out aggressively swinging into the new year. We just premiered ‘Don’t You Know‘ off his Mind Overload EP a few short weeks ago, which has already racked up almost 30,000 combined streams on SoundCloud alone. Clearly showcasing an overtly imaginative and forward-thinking sound, that body of work as a whole put on full-display the growth that this longstanding legend in the scene has had recently. Now, he’s pooled his creative juices with a triumphant trio making tidal waves of movement throughout the community, Xotix, for the release of their exceptionally heavy ‘Rabbithole’ compilation EP on Bassrush, a mind-bending romp proudly demonstrating just how progressive modern music can be, and we have the great pleasure of premiering it for you right here on FUXWITHIT.

“Honestly, this is our biggest release to date, and we’re just really excited to be working with people at this caliber in the industry. Bassrush is a legendary label, and working with Insomniac has been a dream come true. We’re stoked to be able to share this EP with you all, and we’re super grateful for this opportunity.” -Xotix

“As soon as the Xotix guys sent me some potential collab ideas to choose from, I knew I wanted to make a whole EP with them. I had previously released some of their music on Wormhole Music Group and was already a huge fan of theirs, and it seemed readily apparent that our workflows really clicked and we just started cranking out bangers together from there.” – Secret Recipe

Just as Alice first peered down into the depths of the rabbit hole that would forever change her fundamental perception of reality as she knew it, your introduction to ‘Rabbithole’ is just as mindbending. An intimidating vocal sample of ‘Wonderland’ is looped in the build, right before all semblance of humanity is stripped clean from your existence as you’re bathed in a holy sacrament of bass. Robust wiggles and rich wobbles guide you on a high-speed thrill ride through the initial part of the drop before ludicrous trap stylings are sprinkled for exceptional flavor. With mental domination being at the forefront of this piece, you’re lulled into mild pacifism before being bludgeoned with full frontal consciousness warfare, courtesy of psychedelic-focused calculated air wiggles. Check out our exclusive streaming premiere of ‘Rabbithole’ for yourself below, and make sure to keep a keen eye out for the full EP drop on Friday!

When it comes to artists vigorously pushing the envelope in all facets of forward-thinking sound design, you’d be hard-pressed to find a brighter shining example than Philadelphia, Pennsylvania’s Digital Ethos. Bringing devastating amounts of force behind his pieces, yet making them a joy on the ears simultaneously, he’s harnessed a completely compelling combination. With miraculous releases like ‘E352‘, ‘Superhuman‘, and ‘Lurid‘, he’s showcased unparalleled levels of originality and ingenuity time and time again. Now, he’s back with a piece inspired by the first-person shooter game Overwatch in the form of the miraculously grimy ‘Junkrat’.

Sporting a delicious amount of bounce while coupling it with a full-bodied, punishing energy, ‘Junkrat’ leaves you feeling as if it’s entirely too O.P. for casuals. Coursing with chaotic electricity that keeps the head nodding like a well-tuned metronome, the bops seemingly never end when this tune is around. In a time where it can be easy to feel sluggish and lazy, it’s pieces like this that really light up rooms due to their ability to lift up listeners (both literally and figuratively) and get them grooving to their heart’s content. A topsy-turvy thrill ride of sensational proportions, ‘Junkrat’ will go down as another successful, impressive release from an already top-tier calibre artist. Bass music fans rejoice, Digital Ethos has done it again. Check out ‘Junkrat’ for yourself below!

Few artists today have been able to expertly fuse melodic mastery with an experimental approach as well as Floret Loret. His self-released debut EP Tangled Roots marked his impactful arrival and his follow-up Secluded Garden proved his staying power. Hot off of his collaboration with Zeds Dead, Floret Loret returns with a brand new EP entitled Prosper on Bassrush. The four track effort arrives tomorrow but we have the distinct honour of giving fans an exclusive premiere a day early.

The title references my growth as a musician and the progression of how these songs came along. This is a step toward a new direction for my sound. Continuing to grow from the previous EPs, (Secluded Garden & Tangled Roots) I wanted to experiment more of the tools available to me. There’s a lot of bitcrush-y, melodic, low-end bass engulfing sounds throughout this EP that I’ve been messing around with and I feel like it’s helped the stories and ideas come to life in my music. – Floret Loret

With each release Floret Loret evolves and expands his sound. While previous works drew deeply from the natural world, Prosper takes a more industrial and synthetic approach. Imagery of lush exotic jungles are replaced with digitized visuals and pulsing electrical energy. Keeping true to his word, the project sees an expansion into a new direction; one which dark and powerful.

This is a bit darker and aggressive compared to my past work, but it wasn’t intentional. Music is a coping mechanism for me, so I think I may have subconsciously manifested darker, more aggressive emotions due to the current state of the world and some personal issues I’ve been going through.

Some of the tunes were already written – ‘Nu Bloom’ & ‘Melted Lavender’ – prior to COVID-19. But they were also written to during a weird time in my life. I was living by myself for a bit and keeping my thoughts and feelings bottled up. I revisited them once we entered the quarantine in March and then after I wrote ‘Afterblooms’ & ‘Abscissions’ in the first couple of weeks. – Floret Loret

Don’t let the darker direction, scare you, there’s still a wealth of beauty under the surface. Melody plays a vital role in each track and serves as the common thread that ties Prosper together.

My dad actually gave me the idea of telling a story through the melody of each track. So as you listen to each song you’ll hear the melody develop, grow, and enter different phases. I tried to do this with every song on the EP, but the challenge was keeping each one unique and having each song tell it’s own story. I really hope you guys enjoy this one! – Floret Loret

From beginning to end Floret Loret’s latest takes you on a trip through space and time. ‘Nu Bloom’ serves as a haunting and evocative opener while ‘Melted Lavender’ leverages contrasting sounds to create a track that is stark yet stunning. ‘Afterblooms’ is like a distorted trek through a garden developed by an AI superpower. Rounding out the project comes ‘Abscissions,’ a metallic-riddled menace with tribal undertones that’s sure to leave your brain blown. Escapist bass music at its finest, the project is a captivating expedition into a futuristic world.

Stream Prosper below and be sure to pre-save the EP here.

Saka has come a long way since he first landed on our radar more than two years ago. Following the producer’s journey has been nothing short of incredible and we’ve been watching it from the start – from premiering a couple of tracks that are no longer on his SoundCloud, to hosting a guest mix and interview last year. Now, the talented LA-based artist adds a new, highly-impressive check-mark to his list of accomplishments – his debut EP titled Slipstream, out via the coveted Bassrush tomorrow. Ahead of its full release, we have the exclusive honour of showcasing ‘Exile,’ the third piece of the six-track puzzle.

The Slipstream EP showcases a fresh side to Saka’s creative insights, from the music itself to how the concept of the project was created. Saka tells us, “I story-boarded this whole thing before writing it, a method that I was put onto by Hudson Lee and Frequent. Essentially, I had a few images and a story in mind from the start, and I designed sounds and bass patches around how I envisioned these images sonically.”

Despite being the third track that fans will hear from the project, ‘Exile’ is actually the second piece of Saka’s narrative, which you will eventually be able to read in full on his Twitter. The track itself is everything listeners have grown to love about Saka; eerie soundscapes, rugged bass and otherworldly flow. Hard to categorize into a specific genre due to its innate uniqueness, ‘Exile’ is sure to please a wide array of trap and bass fans, as Saka demonstrates another level to the seemingly limitless tricks up his sleeve.

“I’m excited because this is my best work so far. My music is an amalgamation of all the things I love,” Saka adds about the Slipstream EP. Stay tuned for the full project tomorrow and until then, enjoy ‘Exile’ below.
