Big Sean’s highly-anticipated album Detroit 2 is here! The project is a follow-up to his 2012 mixtape Detroit and sees Sean as sharp as ever. The album possesses a level of maturity and depth that’s come with the rapper’s longevity. From deeply personal stories, to the plethora of inspirational bars and punchlines, to his spiritual and mental alignment, this may be Sean at his finest. The project was Executive produced by Hit-Boy, Kanye West & Big Sean. Detroit 2 features everything from Sean blacking out with bars (‘Lucky Me’), street anthems (‘Deep Reverence’), raw bangers (‘The Baddest’), nostalgic hits (‘Full Circle’), slow grooves for the ladies (‘Body Langauge’), a 9 minute Cypher and more. If all this wasn’t enough it also packs features from Nipsey Hussle, Anderson.Paak, Wale, Young Thug, Travis Scott, Diddy, Lil Wayne, Eminem, Dom Kennedy, Jhené Aiko, Ty Dolla $ign, Royce Da 5’9″ and that’s not all.

Big Sean & Nipsey Hussle Bless Us With ‘Deep Reverence’

With Big Sean’s fifth album Detroit 2 only a week away, the Don just dropped off an incredible new single. Featuring the late great Nipsey Hussle ‘Deep Reverence’ is a deep cut. Nipsey sets the tone out the gate with the hard-hitting bars, “fuck rap, I’m a street legend, block love me with a deep reverence.” His commanding and conversational tone is impossible not to enjoy while remaining bittersweet. Big Sean grabs the baton and delivers bar after for 2 minutes straight. Sean carefully moves from life and mental health struggles, to social commentary, dropping wisdom (“Mama said it only takes one time to fuck up your whole Wikipedia”) and more. He also touches on how Nipsey’s passing inspired him to reach out to Kendrick. ‘Deep Reverence’ is a top-tier rap collab setting the stage for Detroit 2, and reminding us of Nipsey’s greatness. RIP to a street legend.

Sean Don is back. After a quiet start to 2019, Big Sean returns with his first single of year in ‘Overtime.’ With the release Sean gets back to the bars over two different beats. Sean reminds listeners why he’s one of the sharpest emcees out and he delivers bar after bar of clever wordplay and braggadocios energy. The first half has Big Sean recounting his accomplishments and repping the D with smooth delivery. Big Sean Is ‘Halfway Off The Balcony’ On His Latest

We’ve already had a ton of new music drop in the first month of the New Year, and now Big Sean comes through with a new track off his upcoming album I Decided.

‘Halfway Off the Balcony’ features production from Amaire Johnson, who’s worked with Sean on ‘Bounce Back’ and ‘One Man Can Change the World’. The new track finds Big Sean digging deep into his relationships and life as he flexes his lyrical muscle with a handful of witty punch-lines.

“I’m the livin’ proof that you don’t need a master’s just to be a masterpiece/ People passin’ faster than I’m passin’ weed/ My daddy tell me, ‘Stay strong, Son, and be the man you have to be,” raps Sean.

Landing in full on February 3rd, I Decided, the follow-up to 2015’s Dark Sky Paradise includes collaborations with The-Dream, Jhené Aiko, and Eminem, who guests on ‘No Favors.’

Big Sean Is Making ‘Moves’ With New Single and Album Announcement

Big Sean has been heating up the back half of the year. After letting off the fierce ‘No More Interviews’ and ‘Bounce Back,’ Sean Don is back with another new heater entitled ‘Moves’. The 808 Mafia produced cut features an unsurprisingly knocking beat that is ripe for Sean to drop bars over. The smooth hook is a warm up for the heavy verse. Sean isn’t playing around, dropping sharp bars, “Awe man, It’s that nigga that you probably least expected, I just had a couple dots that need connecting, Now your top 5 getting redirected.” I feel like Sean doesn’t get the credit he deserves as one of the best MCs out, tracks like this are sure to change that. Along with the release comes the announcement of a his upcoming I Decided which will be released February 3rd 2017.
