Brace for impact! Because YVNG JALAPÑO has finally dropped his newest EP, LUNATIC. A body of work which has been waiting to see the light of day. Fans from all over have been stoked and building hype around this project. Now this artist has put in a huge amount of work and dedication to his craft. Even from the start he planted a seed full of unique sound design and high-energy arrangements. Getting the attention of big artists and building a beautiful fan base all around.

From edits of Slumberjack, QUIX and even ODESZA, he made sure to target the right audience for his vision. Labels such as Quality Goods Records and now Bite This! have all contributed to his continuing journey as a musician. And now the time has come for us to witness pure greatness with his newest work of art.

The LUNATIC EP is chocked full of some major festival anthems. But he’s not working alone. Joining him in the spotlight are wilo wilde, Peytn and even Jayceeoh! Just hearing about those collaborations already gives you chills down your spine. Knowing this EP is going to be memorable.

From mind-bending sounds to earth-shaking drums, YVNG JALAPÑO really showed us he’s not playing around. The tracks each have a distinct and similar vibe, yet differentiates from each other at the same time. Coming together beautifully after each listen. Creating a sense of inspiration and satisfaction. wilo wilde’s lush and elegant nature within her voice really brings out a unique side to both of their atmospheres. An airy and easy-going chemistry. While Peytn is totally perfecting the sheer force within a bass-heavy space. His sharp and hyped up vocals give their track even more spice to the dish. And if that wasn’t enough, combining their vast and indescribable talents, both him and Jayceeoh created a monstrous collaboration. A true love note to classic dubstep. You can feel the excitement and passion they put in through every second and note being played.

YVNG JALAPENO Returns to Bite This with ‘Lunatic’

As we move closer to ‘normal’ in the sense of live entertainment returning, a proper atmosphere curation becomes necessary. The pandemic allowed us to experience producers explore outside of their normal genre, typically with sounds that would tell more of a story or perhaps even be a tear jerker with the amount of emotion invested into these songs. As we try to safely move forward from a year that changed the course of action for so many, we are starting to witness the release of those bangers that producers have held captive through quarantine. Adding to the optimistic feeling of live music coming back, YVNG JALAPENO gives us something from THE SPICE RACK II to help get our adrenaline going again titled ‘Lunatic’ featuring Peytn released via Bite This.

The mad man mind of YVNG JALAPENO builds a track of filthy sound design that interplays within the noises heard. In accompaniment to the master-crafted structure, Peytn offers lyrics that are on par, “Give em the sauce give em the juice we making it spicy,” fitting into the persona of YVNG JALAPENO. Upon the drop, the artist releases gnarly bass patches and grimey synth patterns that will instantly induce a stank face. ‘Lunatic’ is only one of the ingredients utilized in THE SPICE RACK II and we can’t wait for more of the components to be released. Yvng Jalapeño & Dabow Collide In Gnarly ‘Slime Ball’

Yvng Jalapeño and Dabow are two FUXWITHIT favourites that have blossomed into globally-recognized artists within the electronic music sphere due to their innate ability to keep innovating. Both displaying a dexterity and versatility that is difficult to come across in this day and age, Yvng Jalapeño and Dabow have individually deserved their recent successes. Adding Jauz’s Bite This! to their already-impressive list of label releases, the Australian and Argentinian producers have now teamed up to unleash a gooey collaboration.

‘Slime Ball’ is a perfect fusion of signature sounds, combining touches from both Yvng Jalapeño and Dabow to a tee. It builds smoothly from an ethereal aura into a frantic introduction hinting at the gungy madness that follows. Edging on the side of trap but laced with influence from bass house and more, ‘Slime Ball’ is the product of two trendsetters coming together in flawless harmony. Don’t sleep on it below.

HYPRESSION Impresses With Debut ‘Cold Blood’ EP

HYPRESSION first caught my attention when the up-and-coming producer was featured on Jauz’s debut album, The Wise And The Wicked. A quick scroll through the Russian artist’s short yet impressive arsenal revealed that ‘On Fire‘ was a combination of his signature trap sounds with a previously unexplored bass house direction. However, a brief hiatus let HYPRESSION fall under the radar for a few months, before his return was announced in the form of the three-track Cold Blood EP, out now on Bite This!. Massive shout-out to Jauz for putting this guy on the map, as HYPRESSION’s debut EP is some of the freshest bass house out in a minute.

The project’s title track sets the stage for the versatile journey that is the Cold Blood EP. In the introduction, Networth’s rap vocals shine at the forefront, as HYPRESSION flows from the lyrical portion to a bass house drop with ease. A groovy bassline, a catchy sample and captivating melodies get listeners hooked, before tastes of the original HYPRESSION sneak in on a wicked trap section. Three distinct genres coming together so cohesively is all the proof one needs to acknowledge the Russian producer’s musical prowess. ‘Kitchen House’ is a 126 BPM dancefloor heater, and among the most original house tracks of 2019. Scrap the sirens and revving engine sounds everyone is trying to imitate – HYPRESSION is here to prove originality is best. Finally, the project is capped off with ‘I Just Wanna,’ a softer yet still danceable track that beautifully rounds out the outstanding Cold Blood EP.
