Chicago boys Dennis Castelan and Chris Clingingsmith have been consistently turning up the temperature with ferocious release after release under their Elevatd production alias. With an emphasis on making beats that are downright deadly in all facets, this dynamic duo have been snapping necks and taking names with no regard for human life in their path. Up to this point, they’ve continuously pumped out immensely successful singles like ‘Decimation‘ on Buygore and its VIP, along with a wildly popular remix of Fisher’s ‘Losing It’, and a guest mix for us here on FUXWITHIT. Now, they’ve raised the bar even higher, gracing the world with their debut EP Wavez, a paradise for fans of disgusting hybrid trap music.

‘Sludge’, a collaboration with the swiftly rising Wylin, begins your descent into the grim depths of this monstrous body of work. Opening with a stylistically dark and intimidating air, the piece quickly devolves into a torrential downpour of deep dubstep undulations that disrupt the very fiber of your existence. Ludacris asked “how low can you go?” and this track limbo’d at a ninety degree angle. The latter drop has a much heftier infusion of chaotic energy, demolishing even the most passionate fans of dirty bass music.

Once you’re firmly strapped-in, the title track of the EP rears its devilish form. ‘Wavez’ makes just that, as it’s so hefty superman would be hard-pressed to pick up this bad boy. You’re greeted by the vocals “fuck around and drown off this” right before you’re backhanded by unquestionably adulterous noises. A one-way ticket to spiked adrenal glands and dilated pupils, you’ll be literally high off these beats, a blend of euphoria and bone-crushing viciousness that is oh-so-satisfying. The initial drop sounds like an immense death ray, incinerating everything in sight, while the 2nd drop sounds like an attack chopper primed to strike. The last is like a Frankenstein’s monster combination of the first two, death by dubstep surely imminent. Between it’s diversity and sheer brutality, this is my personal favorite track on Wavez.

Vercu adds his in his own flavor to ‘OG Boi,’ leaving this track dripping in character and intensity. The opening drop will have you rubbing dirt off your shoulders before it switches up to a gross tumult of massive bass howls. The vocals sprinkled in with the guttural filth creates this hardcore trap extravaganza, not for the faint of heart. The latter drop is delightfully punchy and full-bodied, flexing sound systems to their furthest capabilities. Their use of space keeps your ears guessing, never quite sure when the next expertly-timed switch will occur. This is a true testament to the skills of both artists.

The next track is sure to cause an immediate ‘Meltdown,’ as your consciousness reverts back to primal times, full fight-or-flight mode engaged. Sydney, Australia’s Benji lends a hand on this track, his beat patterns easily distinguishable amongst the fold. This is the final collaboration on Wavez, with each one having a unique flavor and style of its own. This piece hits like a sucker punch to the stomach, completely knocking the wind out of you and taking you to your knees. “Now you’re going to die” is looped over each drop, a constant reminder that ‘Meltdown’ will literally end you if you’re not careful.

‘Exitium’ is the final chapter in Wavez, and it’s the biggest departure from the rest of the pieces in terms of base style. Where hybrid trap is at a focus in the other tracks, this is much more dubstep oriented even from the get-go. The first drop almost toes the line with riddim, and the 2nd adds a ridiculous melody that really turns things up to 11. Afterwards you’ll surely be left wondering what’s coming next, and you’ll be rewarded with a ludicrous trap switch bringing out the heartiest of bass faces.

Wavez from start to finish is a major success, but especially so as a debut EP. ELEVATD have shown once again that they can put out some of the heaviest hybrid trap in the game, and have absolutely earned a place on peoples’ radars for the entire rest of the year. For now, check out all the Wavez these boys have been making below!

Russian bass music producer Alexander Erbes, just known by Erbes, has quickly become a recent favorite in the realms of dark, gritty new age trap music. A little over a month ago he released his Flow Now EP on Buygore to major acclaim and has been posting ridiculous singles almost weekly since. Blending a foreboding ambiance with the confusion and heightened senses of a psychedelic experience, his music is quite literally a trip.

The first half of his 2019 campaign has already been one of astounding success for this fresh producer, and now we get a look at what’s coming next for him. Piling on the hype train, today we’ve had the pleasure of premiering a guest mix from him packed to the brim with IDs from himself along with the works of some of his best friends and inspirations. Along with that, we’ve also had the pleasure of getting to talk with him about his start, the Russian electronic music scene, and what his dreams are for the future.

Check out the guest mix and interview for yourself below!

What was your first introduction to electronic music?

My first acquaintance with electronic music was in 2003, when my mother loved listening to Benny Benassi, the track ‘Satisfaction’ reached our provincial town. A little later, she bought the album Hypnotica, I was very impressed with this album then, it was very different from the rest of the music in those years. 4 years later, I thought: “Why don’t I start writing music too? If he can, and many others, why am I worse ?!”

I see you’re from Russia! What’s the scene like out there and how has it influenced you as an artist?

Oh, this is all sad. There are clubs, but there is only commerce in them, who are not interested in listening to what the author wants to convey, everyone wants to hear and listen to what they think is right, seems right to most people. Let’s just say, self-generation and experimentation is not encouraged by us. Full Underground. We have several electronic festivals, the largest of them is Alfa Future People, which I think is revolutionary! This is a big step forward in the development of electronic music in Russia. But it’s very problematic to get at it to young, talented guys, since the selection of new guys is made by people who have little knowledge of electronic music. Specifically on me, since the scene in Russia is influenced this way, it gave a kick to move to the west!

I want people to have chills and the hair stood on end of each track.

Tell us something that’s unique to your culture.

Since childhood I loved watching horror and psychedelic movies, I still love horrors to this day. Now in my tracks there is gloom, an atmosphere of horror, but at the same time, fat and hybrid. I want people to have chills and the hair stood on end of each track.

How would you describe your sound to a deaf person?

I would turn on a psychedelic movie on the screen.

You recently released your Flow Now EP through Buygore! Can you tell us how you got in touch with them for the release?

They followed me on SoundCloud, and then I sent them a couple of unreleased works directly. They gave me a contact manager, with whom I discussed the details of the future release, after which for 2 days I wrote 3 tracks for them, which became part of the album.

Tell us a little about the mix you prepared for us today! How did you decide on the tracklist and overall flow?

In the mix, I selected the tracks close to me in spirit including several unreleased, as well as those tracks that I listened to for a long time, and with several works of my acquaintances and friends. Tracks of those guys who support me. Each of them deserves to be heard!

What goals do you have for the next year?

Definitely move to another city, a change of scenery.

Start steadily making money on music.

Record 1 big album.

Release your tracks on labels:
Never Say Die
NEST HQ

Raise the number of followers to 50,000.

If you had to pick one, what would be your dream festival to play out right now?

UMF!

One of my global goals is to help those who need it, need to be heard.

What gives your life purpose besides music?

One of my global goals is to help those who need it, need to be heard. The second is to help family and friends, I want to put all their dreams into reality. The third is to go round the whole world, in search of something forgotten by us, for resurrection. Move to MARS LOL.

A pioneer in the heavy dubstep scene, Point.Blank has been refining is production skills for the greater part of this decade to become one of Europe’s most prominent faces in the bass realm. The Belgian producer has become a Buygore staple since signing back in 2014, releasing tracks on both the main imprint and the freshblood sister-label on a consistent basis. A couple of weeks ago, the talented artist unleashed the monstrous The Serpent EP, and after streaming it on repeat since its release, we decided it was too good not to share.

A massive collaboration with Jkyl& Hyde kicks off the project, where distinct style come together to form an Earth-shattering melter. Point.Blank’s piercing signature synths shine overtop the wonky stabs from Jkyl & Hyde, creating a gnarly bass banger that uniquely stands out among a sea of saturated dubstep. The project’s title track follows and sees Point.Blank upping the aggressiveness in the best way possible. An elongated build-up creates an insurmountable apex in tension before the Belgian unleashes a brutal offering of gut-wrenching sounds and repeated pulsating frequencies sure to send any festival crowd into the depths of hell. Capping off The Serpent EP is ‘Stop That’, a quintessential Point.Blank track reminiscent of ‘HOODREP‘ through its masterfully-produced high-pitched screeches.

It’s safe to say that The Serpent EP is sure to become a playlist favourite for heavy dubstep enthusiasts. Check it out below.

Just as he set the stage for 2018 with his 6 Caliber EP, Jon Casey is back with another statement project to catapult himself into the new year. Fresh off a furious remix for UZ’s ‘Castle‘, the wickedly talented South African is showing no signs of slowing down as he returns in the form of the monstrous four-track On The Storm EP, out now on Buygore.

‘Kicksplit!’ leads off the project, where Jon Casey wastes no time getting deep and gritty. A hypnotic introduction flips into trap insanity highlighted by resonating synths and a rumbling bass line, before the track evolves into bouncy, genre-defying madness. The aptly-named ‘Troglodyte’ follows, giving listeners a prehistoric journey through tribal percussion and freakish sounds reminiscent of the dinosaur era. The second half will transport you to the future, as Jon Casey adds cutting-edge plucks and metallic frequencies that will leave you in awe. The project is capped off with ‘Terminator’ and ‘On The Storm’ alongside Mo Vibez, and these tracks see skilled producer continue to push bass and trap forward through impeccable sound design and raw energy.

Jon Casey never ceases to impress. Don’t miss his On The Storm EP below!

Building off momentum from a heavy hitting EP Beijing on Buygore Records’ ‘frshblood’ imprint, Portugal-native Holly’s newest EP, Reyna further reveals his brilliance in sound design. The 3-track playlist composes ornate buildups with industrial influenced trap drops, each track drawing contributions from his signature sound, while introducing an array of new horns and drums.

The first track ‘CLEANING PROJECTS’, sets the stage with a warm euphoric intro, accentuated by an addicting rhythmic pattern, which reminded me of raindrops drumming on a windowsill. An unsuspecting build-up and perfectly timed breaks catapult the listener into the bass-ridden drops, which Holly contrasts beautifully with uncanny metallic synths.

Eerily similar to the intro of an old techno track, ‘HOPE HUNGRY’ features a short gentle buildup, which hastily shifts to a meticulous drop with shifting bass patterns that sound as if they were handcrafted deep within the depths of the earth’s surface.

The bass-heavy tune of the EP, ‘DONT TRUST ON A TWEET’ begins with an ominous feel, which is riddled with otherworldly sounds leading into an intergalactic buildup. The relentless bass patterns of the drop come straight from the deep end of the pool, and immerse the listener in a barrage of resonating frequencies.

Reyna is further testimony to Holly’s ability to put together equally as riveting solo projects as his coveted collaborations. “Super happy & excited to release this record that will be my last project for a while,” Miguel discloses to his fans on Facebook. That being said, we absolutely cannot wait to hear what some time and effort in the studio will allow the Portuguese beat master to sauce together.

I got caught off guard last night, I was checking out some of the latest from a few of FUXWITHIT’s favorites, when I saw Borgore had reposted a song by his label (Buygore) member and artist, Axel Boy. Axel Boy is a producer who hails from Bristol, UK and is sending some serious tremors from across the pond.

‘Raw to the Floor (VIP)’ is actually a remix of a song (‘Raw to the Floor’) that Axel Boy released last year. This reinvented, and aggressive single is low-key consuming and complex. The thickly-layered meaty sound and luscious transitions are devious yet delightful. The intro involves some of the higher-pitch, melodic sounds, some decent lyrics, and a humming bass – it appears that’s all we are going to be playing with but then it begins to build, and the groove you have been jamming on is actually the edge of a precipice.

Following each thudding drop there are frothing bass baths and scythe-swirling synthetics to satisfy the dank demons in you and drill those deeper bass lines into your brain. With dexterity Axel Boy shows his DJ chops as wooks, horns, and dark bass gnaw at your ears. You will feel raw after this dizzy-ing and dazzling display of bass music prowess.

Check it out below and download it for FREE here.

With a name like TastyTreat you’d expect their music to be sweet – some blend of shimmery synths and pitched vocals to induce rushes of serotonin throughout your brain. If you’re listening to their earlier work you wouldn’t be wrong, but on their latest project Wayward, the California duo take a much darker direction. Kicking things off with ‘Ascension,’ the track blends ominous undertones with filthy bass and a soft sprinkling of twinkling keys to give it a surprisingly perfect balance. ‘My Crew’ sees K Theory’s Malcolm Anthony going in over a heavy backdrop that sounds something like DJ Mustard meets Herobust. Wayward’s closer ‘Struggle’ opens with stabby synths that could score a horror film. With fierce kicks, brooding brass and some heavy 808’s, it builds into a massive trap anthem with stellar evolution. After things get turnt midway through with a mosh-pit-inducing drop, it drifts into a smooth future bass groove. Wayward bends and bruises genres with an underlying beauty that makes TastyTreat one of Cali’s most promising duos. Stream below and grab the album on iTunes via Buygore.
