Dr. Fresch Delivers Trap Rework of ‘Stomper’

It’s no secret that Dr. Fresch is one of our favourite producers of the year. Every track the LA based M.D. touches is pure fire. Just take a listen to his latest release, a rework of Chris Lake & Anna Lunoe’s ‘Stomper’. At first thought you’d assume Fresch would bring a slightly heavier bass house vibe, but you’d be wrong. Instead of going with the obvious, the good Dr. traps it out with snapping 808’s and trunk rattling bass. Additional samples (“make it stomp”), vocal chops and dark bass add a further feeling of filth. With all that said, the track still manages to honour the original while maintaining the signature Fresch sound. How does he manage it? Listen below to find out.
