Rising from the grave, COFFIN is resurrected with a brand new single called, ‘Street.’ A destructive weapon for any club or festival. A nuke of mass destruction for whoever bears witness. And he’s not alone this time. Joining him on this joyride is non-other than Hip Hop duo, Jimmy Wit An H! Combining the energy from all these artists is dangerous. The talent radiating from their passions is truly unmatched.

COFFIN’s work has taken quite a shine to many within the underground scene. His well-thought-out arrangements can turn any mood into a positive one. And the highly advanced sound design easily stands out and separates his vision from the others. Creating a once in a lifetime experience with each listen. Don’t sleep on Jimmy Wit An H either. Their addictive tones and lyrics can make any track flow into a brand new territory. Creating an unforgettable atmosphere for themselves as well as their audience. They throw in that extra touch of attitude which impacts you even harder. Together, they’ve all created a pure classic for all.

‘Street’ is filled with exciting attributes and characteristics. Right from the start, COFFIN honors Jimmy Wit An H’s style by creating an ominous space for them to take advantage of. The haunting melody mixed with their sinister flow creates a sense of excitement and eagerness to hear what’s coming. With a steady buildup increasing, it keeps the listener on their toes and increases the heart rate due to its sheer impact.

Then all of a sudden, COFFIN strikes us a blast of classic bass house goodness. The rhythm and main bass lead really lets all of them shine at once, and throwing in those little bass stabs is the icing on top. Creating an everlasting chorus throughout. For the breakdown, Jimmy Wit An H make a comeback for a second verse to keep the audience in check with their energy. Finally, they all take a bow with a final chorus to leave any listener off with a satisfying aura surrounding them. So if you love house music and hip hop in general, this is the track you’ve been looking for. Make sure to go support them all by streaming ‘Street’ everywhere!

Dabbling in a multitude of genres with grace and major success, Atlanta’s Mike Adriance, also known by his Coffin production alias, is a man with an ear for tracks that will get you moving and grooving to your heart’s delight. Masterfully blending an eclectic concoction of spicy house tunes and aggressive trap stylings, fans are left in a state of intense euphoria, audible cocaine being express-delivered greedily into their ear canals. Last year he successfully traversed a rebranding from his former FVCKDIVMONDS moniker, aiming to fully capitalize on his true potential. With dark, energetic works at the forefront of his creative output, this is one artist that will leave you excessively yearning for a dance floor to bust out your wildest moves before you end up in a ‘Coffin’ of your own. We had the great pleasure of catching up with him about his latest original track ‘Drowning’, his keys to success, and his hobbies, along with having him be the 129th installment of our guest mix series. Check out both in full for yourself below!

You live in ATL! Have you lived there your entire life? And what’s the music scene like?

Originally I’m from Massachusetts, but I’ve been in Atlanta for many years. The music scene down here is so inspiring, especially the rap side of things. Everyone is hungry and always working.

Your last original release ‘Drowning’ is an emotional-filled, energetic house piece. Can you tell us a bit about the inspiration behind the track?

When I started the core idea for ‘Drowning’ I wanted to make something that made you feel the sense of longing, this year has been really rough on all of us so I’ve been writing tons of emotional music that fits how I’ve been feeling with everything going on.

You’ve stated in the past that you don’t have to be the most technical artist in order to be successful. Can you expand upon that idea a bit for us?

Absolutely, in my opinion simplicity works just as well as the most technical song you’ve ever heard in your life. As long as the core foundation/elements are there for a good song, you’re good. Less is more.

What is it about trap inspired house music that really resonates with you?

So, I personally did not start my music career with dance music. I was in punk bands first then after that I began producing/engineering rap records. Rap, primarily southern trap music has a huge influence on my sound so everything I do be it, EDM Trap, Trap House, shit even if I made a hardstyle song it would have some elements of southern trap music because that’s where I come from. I really started with this sound like 5-6 years ago, just heavy rap influenced breaks with house drops.

Besides producing music, what are some things you’ve been doing to stay busy during quarantine life?

I love doing graphic work in photoshop, & editing videos in Premier. All of the album art/video assets you’ve seen recently from the COFFIN project are entirely made by me. Other than that, my PS4 has kept me sane lol.

What’s one valuable lesson you’ve learned over the course of this year?

To never take what you have for granted. I miss traveling & playing shows so much right now I would give anything for the world to go back to normal.

Who are some of your favorite underground artists right now?

So many, Odea, Schade, Mayhem, Blvk Sheep, CLB, Achilles, Hypression, Perses, Sqwad, Koos, just to name a few.

Do you have any daily rituals that you do to maximize success?

I normally wake up, make a fat cup of coffee, then spend the next hour or so listening to music to set the inspiration for the day before I create. The key though, I listen to anything except dance music to inspire me to make dance music if that makes sense. Lately it’s been listening to Black Flag or Gucci Mane and diving in.

With such a plethora of fantastic options in the United States, what are some festivals and venues you’d be stoked to play at when shows start happening regularly again?

Too many to name, but I can tell you I’m so hyped to return to LA, Seattle, Chicago, New York, & a bunch of other cities.

Any big releases or streams coming up that you’d like to clue us into today?

I have a few more surprises up my sleeve before the end of the year, look out for a couple more records & a few live DJ sets on the way!

Tell us about the guest mix you did for us today!

This mix embodies all the music that I’m currently fucking with. This really would be my tour set if everything in the world was normal, I included a bunch of brand new unreleased music from myself and my homies. Just wanted to thank y’all for always rocking with me & thanks for having me!

There are few names in bass music that can confidently say they have leveled up with each consecutive release, but I think it’s safe to put Blvk Sheep on that shortlist. Over the past four years, we’ve been met with one banger after another from Blvk Sheep, and it all recently culminated with his debut EP Dark Matter. This time the seasoned producer returns with a collection of remixes stacked full of some of FUX favorites.

It just so happens that I don’t even have enough hands to count the amount names on this remix pack that has been featured on FUX, but one definite highlight track is the COFFIN remix of ‘Wonksta’. COFFIN’s perfectly mixed hip-hop drums flow over the suspenseful intro of the track before becoming the driving force in the drop, while also filling spaces with these deep wubs felt deep inside your sternum.

Another highlight track comes from yet another FUX favorite, SuperAve. The track begins with this deep growl which seems to grow in the shadows as the drums slowly climb through the mix in the build. One second into the drop, and you quickly realize that SuperAve. is not messing around, as some of the nastiest lead basses led the way throughout the drop, along with some pounding percussion elements.

Once again, another FUX favorite delivers one of the highlights of the remix pack, with anti.’s remix of ‘Static.’ Right out the gate anti. comes throwing elbows with his classic thumping hip-hop drums and piercing hi-hats that jump out the mix. After a quick build, anti. comes through with this hypnotic lead synth that makes you feel like you’re falling endlessly down the rabbit hole.

Last but most definitely not least is yojas and We Rose’s remix of ‘Fearful’. From the start, it feels as if something ominous and aggressive is lurking with these dark industrial alarm sounding synths building the suspense perfectly in the intro. After a quick introduction to the drums in the build, we’re thrown into the madness that is the drop. Two seconds in and I guarantee your face is stank, and your arms are trapped out, as the lead synth is perfectly layered to give that grimy feel while also not losing those smacking drums.

This whole project gives us fresh and exciting takes on tracks that were already bangers. This one is definitely worth the listen, check out the whole thing below.

Since trading in his FVCKDIVMONDS moniker for a new one, Atlanta native COFFIN has given us some of the most cutting-edge bass house tracks. Combining elements of hip-hop, trap, and house the seasoned producer never fails to deliver something interesting and exciting. Having already released through major labels like Night Bass and Barong Family, the trajectory for this veteran is most definitely looking up. Although we mostly see house releases from COFFIN, the influence from his former trap alias is always apparent. This time, we have the honor of premiering COFFIN’s festival-ready trap banger ‘Rattlesnake’.

The theme of the track is set right out the gate with an ominous loop playing the lead melody, which is then joined by hard-hitting 808s and unique percussion elements. As we approach the forty-five-second mark we’re met with an unsparing barrage of low-end synths that add a welcome contrast to the spazzy hi-hats sitting lower in the mix. After pulling the percussion out to showcase the ghostly loops once more, we are once again thrown into a second violent trap section. If COFFIN isn’t on your radar, you need to change that. Check this one out below and grab the free download.

Since announcing the change in alias from FVCKDIVMONDS to COFFIN back in late May, the versatile producer has slowly been building momentum. Although capable of producing various types of bass music, one common theme in all of COFFIN’s originals is an underlying sombre atmosphere. His first release under the new alias titled ‘Zone 6‘ is no exception, and now the Atlanta-based artist returns to his bass house roots in ‘Racks.’

Reversing the roles by giving fans a gift on his birthday, COFFIN displays why he is considered one of the most consistent secret weapons in the gritty house scene. Devilish soundscapes and a quintessential high-BPM house tempo kick off the track, before hints of added ruggedness are added until the climax is reached. As the drop hits, granular synths and wonky fills shine at the forefront of the oddly danceable track. Repeat this recipe twice with a touch of freshness in the second half and you have the club banger that is ‘Racks.’ Don’t miss it below!
