How has living in British Columbia shaped your music/sound?
It is a beautiful place to live, it’s hard to say specifically what it does to my music and sound but I write my best pieces when I’m in a comfortable environment and BC definitely provides that.

I read that you live on chicken farm. Is it important for you to be away from the craziness of the city?
I actually moved off that chicken farm and am currently living in Kelowna, BC. It was a very necessary move to focus my thoughts and creativity. I’m very easily distracted so living there was a great place to focus. Plus, I didn’t mind helping with the chores haha.

I am also working on a really cool live show with multiple instruments, and bigger production!

You grew up playing a wide range of instruments, do you incorporate live instruments into your productions?
Yes I do, I use my guitars the most in my productions. But eventually I would like to build a huge studio filled with guitars, pianos, drums, etc. and work on incorporating lots more live instruments into my music. I am also working on a really cool live show with multiple instruments, and bigger production!

Where do you find inspiration outside of music?
I love being outdoors, going to the beach, camping, longboarding. It’s so easy to get caught up in life and work and our phones that we forget to chill, smell the fresh air and enjoy the outdoors.

Your sound has shifted and progressed a fair bit over the past few years. How do you see your sound evolving in the near future?
I want to continue writing music that ‘tickles my eardrum’ haha. I don’t want to be put in a box of what I can or can’t write which is something I’ve done in the past. Now I’m just doing my own thing, and I’ve never had so much fun. 
I have no clue what I’m going to do next! But I’m excited to hear it.

You’ve been producing a lot of future bass lately. There’s been commentary about the genre becoming repetitive and over saturated. What are your thoughts?
People say a lot of things about a lot of things, future bass is cool imo, but my thoughts are; mediocre music follows trends although good music lasts forever. That’s my goal, I still have lots to learn but I’m going keep focusing on writing good music, and not worry too much about trends. 

What’s your goal when creating music?
Haha, I suppose I answered that in the last question. My goal is to write good music. Music that is not too specific, but all listeners can appreciate. I am still growing as an artist, and feel like I’ve only touched the surface of what I can do. I’m going to keep at it and see where my creativity can grow!

What’s the most important thing that you’ve learned about the music industry in the past few years?
There is so many things that are important so it’s hard to say just one! Be open to opportunities, thankful, be patient, work hard, set attainable goals and build your network from day one! It takes a lot of work to make it happen. I have felt like giving up multiple times, but that’s just part of the journey, push through! 

What do you perceive as your biggest achievement to date?
I have done lots of projects I’m proud of, but if I had to choose one I would say my Headhunterz collab coming out this month!

What can we expect from you for the rest of the year?
I have lots to look forward to, but the main focus is the album I am putting together for the end of the year which I’m really looking forward to!
