]]> Listening to music without any expectation is a beautiful thing. These days we tend to know exactly what we are about to listen to before we press play. We know the artist, the label it dropped and we immediately begin to develop preconceived notions of how it may sound. Every so often I’ll let my SoundCloud run without checking the song titles to see what really stands out to me musically. In the process of doing so I came across this incredible new original ‘Take It Low’ from Creaky Jackals. From the airy opening, to the pitched down rap samples and that inviting melody – this one pulls you in quick and only gets better. The low end drops pair heavy bass with a drunken flute for a sound that’s absolutely intoxicating. Drink this is one in and grab that free download.
