Punchy percussion and an innate groove are a common theme to all the tracks, as Cryptic Shadow looks to carve his own path in the saturated house music scene. ‘Alone’ hooks you with a rhythmic four-to-the-floor beat before catchy vocals take the lead. As the drop hits, a minimal yet hypnotizing aura grasps your attention and does not let it go until the very end of the track. ‘Body’ follows this theme, clocking in at almost seven minutes despite never getting old or repetitive. ‘2 Steps Back’ closes out the Body EP with high energy as an infectious progression of dark instrumentals coupled with glitchy kicks and hypnotic vocals hook you from start to finish.
