NGHTMRE‘s ability to weave between so many genres is what truly sets him apart from so many producers in the industry. With an innate knack for making everything from emotional ballads to gut-wrenching bangers, one never knows what to expect from the LA-based producer’s upcoming releases. With his newest remix for Dillon Francis and Alison Wonderland’s ‘Lost My Mind,’ saying that NGHTMRE leans towards the latter would be a crude understatement.

In perhaps his heaviest solo offering to date, NGHTMRE turns the original trap hit into an all-out dubstep frenzy. With his typical chords added to the introduction layered above additional ethereal sounds, it takes a while to grasp the direction of NGHTMRE’s latest remix. It’s only around the eighty-second mark that one begins to get hints of an impending massacre, before the drop hits and chaos is unleashed. Dillon Francis, Boombox Cartel and Desiigner Join Forces for New Single ‘Drip’

2 of bass music’s most prestigious heavyweights, Dillon Francis and Boombox Cartel, recruit hip-hop star Desiigner to bring us a heavy-hitting new single ‘Drip.’ Each artist having millions upon millions of streams under their belts, they delivered just what anyone would expect: an absolute banger.

The track opens up with some monstrous horns belting a melody under Desiigner’s vocals, preparing us for the carnage that’s about to be unleashed. Dropping into a classic trap styled drop, these guys aren’t holding back. After a melodic tropical breakdown, we build back up into a moombahton oasis that quickly turns back into a trap influenced section of this second drop, making it obvious that these guys had a blast tossing this track back and forth until it reached perfection. Leaving us feeling good, ‘Drip’ takes a future bass turn for the finale of this monster of a track. Be sure to check it out, as it’s definitely something you wont want to miss.

“So I’ve had this idea for a long time where the drop of a song changes every 4 bars to something new. I told the TV Noise guys this idea and we ran with it. I was yelling on the mic all day ad we ended up making a song that makes fun of people who make fun of dance music and all drops in dance music right now,” Dillon Francis states about his latest eclectic jam titled ‘EDM O’CLOCK’. Arguably one the of funniest people in the electronic music scene, Dillon Francis has proven to be a man of many talents through his diverse catalog of genre-defying music and his recent comedic endeavors. Hot off an anthemic collaboration with Alison Wonderland, the production genius is back with a fusion of comedy and quality music, this time teaming up with Dutch veterans. A humorous vocal build sets the stage early on, before Dillon Francis and TV Noise drop the track into an eclectic bop. Boasting bass house and trap undertones, every four bars in the drop offers something reminiscent of popular hits, ranging from Fisher’s ‘Losing It’ horn to JOYRYDE and Skrillex’s ‘AGEN WIDA’ percussion. Dillon Francis Gives ‘Machika’ the Moombahton Treatment

The Latin music fixation continues as Dillon Francis spices up the already fiery ‘Machika’, and teases his full Spanish language EDM album that we have all been waiting for

The original ‘Machika’ is a three-way collaborative effort by Arabian, Colombian, and Brazilian singers- J. Balvin, Jeon, and Anitta (respectively). It has been climbing the charts around the world, released through Capitol Records and Universal Music Latin on Balvin’s upcoming studio album. The title of the track, machika, means ‘to smash’ in the creole language of Papiamento- a Spanish Creole language with influences from Portuguese and Dutch with speakers in Aruba, Bonaire, and Curaçao.

‘Machika’ seemed ripe for the taking when Francis plucked it. After stewing it in some bass, playing up the vibrancy of the horns, and leaving the vocal sample’s intensity intact, Francis makes this latin-pop single steamier. Francis’ ‘Machika’ is playful, sexy, and high energy with a plentiful, steady beat to roll your hips to. It is the perfect item for your summer party playlist, with its salty moombahton sounds and sultry latin vibes.

Dillon Francis and Fuego Bring the Heat with ‘We The Funk’

It is not surprising that the Lord of Moombahton, platinum-selling artist, DJ, and producer, Dillon Francis brings the heat with Miami Merengue singer- songwriter and Fireboy Music label founder, Fuego, on the freshest single from Francis’s hotly anticipated Spanish language studio album, ‘We The Funk’.

This sultry track is ripe with a luscious tempo, and smokey breaks between earthy bass. Plush horns, salty synths, and trembling percussions drive this creamy dream of a dance track, that makes it the perfectly mellow, but still steamy. Fuego’s velvety voice flutters sweet-talking lyrics along Dillon’s romantic, latin-electro instrumental style.Hopefully there are plenty of other sexy-smooth tracks on Francis’s album, due to be released later this year, but certainly there will be during Francis’s plentiful tour dates, which you can check here. Dillon Francis Fuses Moombahton & Latin Trap On New Single ‘Ven’

Every year for the past few years has been heralded as the year Moombahton comes back. And every year some Moombahton records make waves but ultimately the genre never fully re-ignites. It looks as though Dillon Francis may be trying to change that with his new release ‘Ven’. The track blends Dillon’s Moombahton roots with the continually growing Latin Trap sound. Arcangel & Quimico Ultra Mega come through to drop Spanish rap bars over a hypnotizingly slapping mid-tempo beat. “You don’t have to understand a word of the verses, because that drop is like the universal New York anthem-whether you’re American or Dominican. You could hear it on the dance floor and just not give a fuck what anyone thinks,” says Dillon Francis. It’s hard to disagree. I don’t understand one word but this is the most excited I’ve been for a Dillon Francis song in a few years. Making the release even sweeter is news that this is the first single off his upcoming Spanish Language/Moombahton album. If this track has the impact I expect, Moombahton just might return as big as ever for 2018.

NGHTMRE, Dillon Francis Take You To ‘Another Dimension’

NGHTMRE releases the final song off his NGHTMRE, Pt. II EP, which comes as a collab with Dillon Francis that’ll leave you feeling out of this world.

The song opens up with a sound that could best be resembled as ‘neo-Prodigy‘, in honour of the prevalent sample “Pay close attention, I’ll take your brain to another dimension” from the 1992 hit, ‘Out Of Space‘. Unlike the duo’s previous collab from last year, ‘Need You‘, which favoured Dillon Francis’ signature moombahton style, this one is much more NGHTMRE-centric, with the first drop sporting some nasty dubstep.

Right after, it feels like the build-up to the second drop gradually prepares for launch into a drum-and-bass monster – which it ends up doing! The second part gets you so fired up, you’ll feel like you’re going at Warp speed, flying past countless galaxies.

Stream/download it to your favourite music platform, to get a proper taste of outer space. Expect NGHTMRE to go off with this tune during his current tour (dates below)! Cover art, as well as the artwork for the entire EP, is done by Gino Belassen.

What happens when you get Barely Alive, Virtual Riot, 12th Planet, Funtcase, Cookie Monsta, Dubloadz, BadKlaat, Dillon Francis (plus a whole load more to boot) in the same place? Well not only would that be an awesome party, it would also be the producers behind the latest release from none other than Excision.

Returning after once again dominating the bass music game with a huge tour and killing it at global festivals, the Canadian somehow found time to put together this massive collection of tracks and remixes of his last album, Virus. As expected it’s a bass fest – unrelenting, loud and in your face; check for the pounding womp of Barely Alive’s ‘Harambe’ remix for proof.

There’s so much on here (18 tracks to be precise,) it’s hard to cover it all – but just know it’s uncompromisingly great and you need it. You can stream it from below, and full release comes on September 12th.
