With a discography that spans over thirty tracks released over more than half a decade, Kozmoz has been an undeniable force in the dubstep scene for quite a while now. Lurking beneath the shadows of the heavy-hitters that get the headlining slots, the producer has taken his time to refine his craft and to slowly build a list of accolades that includes but is not limited to blessing the likes of EDC Las Vegas and Red Rocks Amphitheatre. Gaining traction since his early contribution to Halcyon in 2020, Kozmoz has since made his rounds across labels such as Subsidia, Gud Vibrations and Disciple Round Table, steadily growing his skills and his fan base parallel.

Today, Kozmoz returns to Disciple Round Table with his first full length project on the imprint; a five-track brute titled the Drop Out EP that further demonstrates the artist’s ability to make a hit. Finding a nice balance between the swagger of riddim and the aggression of tearout, ‘Tonal Scream’ with MINDFVCK opens the EP with a jolt of relentless energy. The following three tracks follow the same lines, with each offering its fair share of bass brutality but still standing well on their own. The intensity of the first track never dies as the project progresses, yet Kozmoz makes a point to include brief interludes at just the right times. The final track with Reign, ‘Black Heart,’ is the most diverse piece of the bunch, with an emphasis put on a vocal sample layered above a quintessential future riddim beat – with a twist. The switch from the bass-in-your-face approach to the euphoric cut makes ‘Black Heart’ a definite standout.

Don’t miss the Drop Out EP below.

For music fans with a hankering for only the darkest and heaviest of dubstep productions, Minnesota’s Reggie Moe, also known as Bainbridge, is a sonic chef practically chomping at the bit to dish-up only the finest of audible creations. Crafting gruesomely grimy and magisterially magnificent plates like no one’s business, this is a man hell-bent on gallivanting his tyrannical sound the world abroad. His debut Genesis EP was met with critical acclaim, helping him step with sure-footing onto the radar of the biggest dub-heads in the industry. Now, he’s back at it once again with the next installment of his audible journey with his Crusade EP, a 4 track belter, out on Disciple Round Table.

If there’s one thing Bainbridge’s music is known for, it’s successfully forcing fans’ faces to contort in the most grotesque ways possible. Eliciting only the most violent of bass faces, his tracks both stupefy the mind and ignite adrenal levels to maximum capacity, a truly lethal combination. Crusade, is no different, opening with the vicious title track. From the opening notes, you’ll feel like you just accidentally stepped through the gates of hell, with a dark, ominous voice welcoming you to your demise. The first part of the initial drop is extremely rhythm focused, utilizing extremely clean, yet viciously thick bass lines and spooky melodies sprinkled throughout that add to the murky aesthetic. Continuing his trend of lulling you into submission and then backhanding you with added layers, the 2nd half of the drop is gutbustingly terrifying, turning your mug into the trademarked “O” face that is oh-so-prevalent when confronted with filth. Welcome to Satan’s disco, only the strong will survive.

Trading booty-shaking rhythm for bone-crushing grit, ‘Ancient Evil’ comes in hot as the 2nd installment in Crusade. If the army of the damned had a drum-line, this would be their trademarked anthem, due to its unparalleled utilization of borderline-diabolical thickness. Throw out the bowl of oatmeal, this contest isn’t even close. With dark vocal samples and a distinctly metal-influenced flair in the latter half, malevolence practically seeps out of any speaker systems that rinse this massive tune.

Your greatest weapon against Cthulhu himself, ‘Last Man Standing,’ a collaboration with Kozmoz, sits at the third spot in this EP. A doomsday cannon of titanic proportions, this track is a deadly addition to any audible arsenal, and should assuredly come with stern warning labels. Chopping up the rhythm finer than Gordon Ramsay, bodies will be eviscerated by the exquisitely-timed switch-ups and brutal layers. Whip-out the finger guns folks, we’re shooting invisible planes out of the sky with all our might.

The last abominable creation that caps off Crusade is ‘Distant’, with Austin, Texas’ Sora. They say you should always go out with a bang, right? Well, these two maestros came more than correct. The vocal sample of “finally, the time has come” greets you right before you descend for the last time into the abyss. Ungodly melodies coupled with gruesome drum patterns equates to an unholy sermon in the church of the dead.

We also had the great opportunity to catch up with Reggie himself to talk about the project, his overcoming of addiction, and his motivations! Stream Crusade in full, and check out our interview with him below!

You mention frequently your music is a portrayal of the battle between light and dark. Why did you focus on that aesthetic, and how do you showcase that throughout your pieces?

We all have good and evil inside of us but it’s up to us what path we choose. A lot of it stems from my sobriety. Back when I was drinking it was a very dark time for me and I saw the light and changed my life. The choice is ultimately up to you which path you want to take in life. It’s all about becoming a better person day by day. I showcase all of this through my pieces via melodies, sample selection, and overall vibe and atmosphere of the tracks.

What was the inspiration behind your latest Crusade EP, and what story are you trying to tell through it?

The Crusade EP is meant to be the beginning of the battle. Genesis was sort of like the inception, if you will, of the world that these ideas and characters are going to exist in.

This will now be your 2nd EP release through Disciple Round Table! How did you initially get into contact with them?

They actually reached out to me back when Immortals was getting played out by artists. They asked me to send over music and the rest is history.

You recently were one of the winners of Disciple’s remix competition with your rendition of 12th Planet’s RVD! How did you feel when it was revealed that you were on the winners? And did you already have an idea of what you were going to do with the track going into the competition, or did it just come to you organically during your workflow?

I was ecstatic! It felt amazing to win. Most of the track came to me organically as I started to work on it.

You’ve struggled with, and eventually overcome addiction. What advice would you have for others that are going through a similar experience, especially in these emotionally distressing times?

Never be afraid to ask for help and admit to yourself that you have a problem. That is the hardest part. Having a strong support network of friends and family is a really big key as well. If you don’t have these things, look into things like AA and NA, as well as going to a treatment center to try and build a network. Make sure you have a positive mental attitude as things will always get better. You CAN do this!

What’s your personal take on the current push-back against predatory contracts that major labels are accused of?

Everyone deserves a fair deal. Majority of the labels I’ve worked with have been nothing but kind and an absolute pleasure to work with.

What are some of your biggest motivators in life?

Sobriety, the drive to make something of myself and to live the life I want to, and to better the lives of those around me through the power of music.

What are some of your favorite hobbies outside of music production?

Video games, reading, and snowboarding to name a few!

What’s next on the horizon for Bainbridge?

A ton of new music, continuing to push my sound design and brand, and a bunch of collabs! Hopefully I will get to see my fans and start to travel again too once all this Covid-19 stuff is over.

Few are delivering innovative bass music at a frequency on par with Leotrix‘s. Since September of last year, the Sydney-based producer has unleashed two projects on Never Say Die: Black Label and a handful of originals, remixes and collaborations to truly set himself apart from the masses. With a keen attention to detail and a knack for gut-wrenching sound design, Leotrix has been able to compete with the best in a scene filled with experienced legends.

Looking to further his dominance within the bass community, Leotrix now makes his mark on the coveted Disciple Round Table with the four-track Collapse EP. Simply put, the project is a short yet menacing beast that perfectly displays the talented artist’s ability to get to the punch, and punch hard. Never beating around the bush, every track with the exception of ‘Collapse’ gets to the meat of things before the forty-second mark, with a mechanical focus on shattering the core of all listeners. A personal favourite is ‘Alien Blaster,’ as the introduction is enthralling and creates intrigue before Leotrix sends you to a new dimension with his futuristic, otherworldly sounds.

The Collapse EP may be short in run time, but easily hits the high standard that Leotrix has set for himself in the past. Don’t miss it below.

Ascending the ranks as quickly as Akeos has over the last year may take its toll on most young artists, but the talented producer has demonstrated a versatility and consistency that only solidifies their status among the elite. Adding to their already impressive discography, Akeos now joins the Disciple Round Table imprint to unleash the three-track Serial Live EP, showcasing once again that the sky is the limit to their innovation.

Serial Live showcases a different side of Akeos’ production abilities while remaining in the realm of heavy dubstep. The tracks are more melody-focused, yet there is no absence of sound design mastery. The project’s title track is eerie, sinister and rugged, but flows flawlessly from start to finish and continues to grow in energy and intensity as the track progresses. Then, the most aggressive piece of the project comes in the form of a collaboration alongside Ferra. ‘Flop Mouth’ still provides listeners with an enthralling introduction to captivate one’s attention, but madness is unleashed in the drops, showcasing Akeos and Ferra’s clear-cut chemistry and skills in crafting a menacing beast. Finally, ‘Lofind’ caps off the diverse project even more ominously than it began, as Akeos steps out of the creativity box to deliver a disturbingly addicting beat. Unlike anything out right now, ‘Lofind’ is a steady offering of crisp sounds and hypnotizing melodies arranged in a way that will simply blow your mind.

April looks to be Akeos’ most stacked month to date, with Serial Live only playing a small part in what’s to come. With a remix for PhaseOne, a collaboration with Subtronics and potentially another EP on the horizon, stay locked for more and until then, dive into their latest below!

Reggie Moe, also known by his production alias Bainbridge, has been a steadily reoccurring character in the murky depths of ludicrously heavy dubstep for the past year now, putting out 2 immensely successful remixes in the form of his take on AFK and Svdden Death’s ‘BZZRK’, and Marshmello and Svdden Death’s ‘Sell Out’. His first release to surpass 100,000 streams came in the form of ‘Immortals’, a brutal titan of sound released on Disciple Records’ Knights of the Round Table Vol. 3 compilation album. There’s been a veritable bee hive of buzz surrounding his debut EP release Genesis, also being released on Disciple Round Table, and we’ve had the supreme pleasure of premiering the title track here on FUXWITHIT.

“Easy listening” is a phrase that’s coined for tracks that you can put on and just melt into the gentle vibrations that reverberate around your being. If you’re looking for the exact opposite of that, ‘Genesis’ is what the doctor ordered. The opening vocal loop “let’s get it up” will have you bursting forth from any sitting situation you’re in, your body filled with borderline illegal amounts of electricity and adrenaline. The predrop vocals of “this is Genesis” warns you of your impending doom, right before you’re back-handed by bone-shattering frequencies. Utilizing bass lines so brutal you’ll need a spinal adjustment, this track will have chiropractors eagerly lining up to cash in on all their newly crippled customers. ‘Genesis’ only gets more insane as the track progresses, his fully intended campaign of carnage demolishing all in sight, with the final drop fiercely grasping your entire consciousness and not relenting until it’s decided that it’s done with you. This piece is surely not for the faint of heart, but that’s a consistent theme for the entirety of the EP.

If there’s anything to be gleamed from the release of Genesis, it’s that Bainbridge is assuredly here to stay, and will undoubtedly be one of the biggest names in dubstep very soon. If you’re sleeping on this man, you’re doing yourself a great disservice. The full EP will be out on Friday, but for now check out ‘Genesis’ for yourself below, and grab the free download here!

Founded under the parent label Disciple Records, the Round Table imprint exemplifies the more eclectic tastes of the bass music scene. Captained at the helm by none other than bass connoisseur 12th Planet, the Disciple Round Table imprint has furnished the stomping grounds for all assortments of peculiar bass and hybrid styles of dubstep since its establishment in late 2017.

Toting a catalog of releases that would rival the sheer magnitude and girth of a Category 5 hurricane, the Round Table is responsible for heavy-hitting projects that have spanned the length of 2018, including UZZI’s Future Dab EP, Adair’s Spellmaker EP, and Subtronics Thermal Expansion EP.

Released only a few short months after the label was founded, the first volume of Knights of the Round Table offered an opportunity for each constituent of the newly formed label to share in the spotlight, contributing towards the overall diversity that the label has to offer, while providing just a taste of what each artist brings to the table with their own style.

With a remarkable year of releases in the wake, it only made sense that the 2nd segment of Knights of the Round Table provides the ideal adieu to the first complete year for the imprint. While its predecessor packed tremendous volume, the latest installation demonstrates unparalleled diversity and truly encapsulates the growth that Disciple and its artists have experienced over the past year.

Welcoming back veteran names Virtual Riot, Barely Alive and Dirt Monkey, while presenting a massive influx of fresh talent, such as UBUR, Stabby, Bandlez, & Hi I’m Ghost, Knights of the Round Table Vol. 2 comprehensively illustrates the diversity that dubstep can afford. We expect nothing but quality and innovation in 2019 from Disciple and the Round Table imprint, give a listen to the project below and let us know what your favorites are!

[soundcloud url=”https://api.soundcloud.com/tracks/548811084″ params=”color=#ff5500&auto_play=false&hide_related=false&show_comments=true&show_user=true&show_reposts=false&show_teaser=true” width=”100%” height=”166″ iframe=”true” /]

Yes, Virtual Riot can make some pretty complextro and even some electrifying super bass as well as, if not better than most in the scene. However, his true musical genius comes out when his sound design is at the forefront of his tracks, and his German Engineering EP and Preset Junkies EP are prime examples. And, when he pairs this impeccable engineering with riddim (*cough* ‘Shindeiru’ *cough*), fans start to sweat profusely. In his contribution to the latest compilation, Virtual Riot continues to impress with ‘Cry Some More’. Utilizing Team Fortress 2 samples, he bridges a short yet punchy introduction into sound design insanity. ‘Cry Some More’ is nothing but a flex from Virtual Riot, where he creates a vibey riddim track tied together with mind-melting growls and Earth-shattering synths. Everything from the flow of the track to the complexity of each sound is flawless, again showcasing Virtual Riot’s twisted ingenuity.

[soundcloud url=”https://api.soundcloud.com/tracks/549962670″ params=”color=#ff5500&auto_play=false&hide_related=false&show_comments=true&show_user=true&show_reposts=false&show_teaser=true” width=”100%” height=”166″ iframe=”true” /]

A transitional year has seen Stabby hop from label to label, trying to find a fit for his unique sound. A track on frshblood and Never Say Die kicked off his busy 2018, before unleashing a highly underrated three-track EP on Buygore and a plethora of independent singles. Despite all the bouncing around, Stabby sounds right at home with ‘Chain Protocol’, his contribution to Knight of the Round Table Vol. 2. With his signature percussion and a captivating melody leading off the track, listeners are brought into a realm of old school Stabby. A rapid rise in tension with filtered synths brings us into the drop, where Stabby flips the script with a bass-in-your-face approach that is both aggressive yet entertaining all at once. ‘Chain Protocol’ with undoubtedly bring out your nastiest bass face.

[soundcloud url=”https://api.soundcloud.com/tracks/544999140″ params=”color=#ff5500&auto_play=false&hide_related=false&show_comments=true&show_user=true&show_reposts=false&show_teaser=true” width=”100%” height=”166″ iframe=”true” /]

One of the latest additions to the extensive roster of Disciple talent, Modestep were surely aiming to make a splash with their debut contribution to the Round Table imprint. A resounding ensemble of horns welcome the duo with confidence as a distant siren disguises an increasing tempo. A crisp drumroll breaks seamlessly into a vigorous riser, building the track to a peak before a harsh crack of the whip catapults the track into a cascade of relentless synths and aggressive bass ripples. Despite the threatening volume, ‘WIP’ flows effortlessly as a tribute to Modestep’s decisive percussion breakdowns and meticulous sound design.

[soundcloud url=”https://api.soundcloud.com/tracks/548378904″ params=”color=#ff5500&auto_play=false&hide_related=false&show_comments=true&show_user=true&show_reposts=false&show_teaser=true” width=”100%” height=”166″ iframe=”true” /]

Bandlez is one of the few bass producers to successfully utilize comedy as a primary component of his persona, weaving tidbits of a mock police chase in progress, the track launches into a signature breakdown of audacious synth swells and playful fills, which flow together in perfect synchronicity. A retro melody straight out of a Law & Order episode offers a brief reprise, as the revving of an engine kicks the tune into a gunfire-ridden buildup that unleashes a second round of relentless wobbles. If the past is any indication of the future, ‘Hot Pursuit’ will be the first of many spectacular releases from Bandlez in the coming months.

[soundcloud url=”https://api.soundcloud.com/tracks/547900755″ params=”color=#ff5500&auto_play=false&hide_related=false&show_comments=true&show_user=true&show_reposts=false&show_teaser=true” width=”100%” height=”166″ iframe=”true” /]

Returning to his seat at the Round Table, INFEKT seems to have flourished immensely over the course of the past year, even despite an overwhelming popularity within his sect of the riddim subgenre of dubstep. Companioned with a fresh new face at the Round Table, INFEKT & Griefer concoct a remarkably seamless collaboration ‘Spazz Out’, which contrasts grungy synth jabs and drawn out bass roars in a track that flows perfectly from start to finish. We look forward to the ways in which INFEKT will continue to refine and differentiate his sound in 2019.

[soundcloud url=”https://api.soundcloud.com/tracks/550860765″ params=”color=#ff5500&auto_play=false&hide_related=false&show_comments=true&show_user=true&show_reposts=false&show_teaser=true” width=”100%” height=”166″ iframe=”true” /]

Don’t let the playful cartoon ghost fool you, Nathan & Tiago of Hi I’m Ghost pack some of the heaviest bass of up & coming talent in the scene, and are putting a noteworthy finish on a standout year performing and producing with their Round Table contribution ‘Ghosts Do It Better’. A punk guitar riff provides the introduction for the tune, disguising a catchy vocal loop, which lines the backdrop. Two decisive bass notes unleash a beastly synth riser and ominous siren, which surge uncontrollably, dropping into an onslaught of reverberating metallic notes and walls of overwhelming bass. Illustrating the depth and volume of their signature ‘Ghost’ style, Nathan & Tiago provide the perfect spooky addition to the ranks of the Round Table.

[soundcloud url=”https://api.soundcloud.com/tracks/552078669″ params=”color=#ff5500&auto_play=false&hide_related=false&show_comments=true&show_user=true&show_reposts=false&show_teaser=true” width=”100%” height=”166″ iframe=”true” /]

A dark horse in the bass scene, London Nebel have managed to release hard-hitting tracks on dubstep’s biggest labels while still remaining an underground name. Nonetheless, the German duo sure know how to pack a punch, offering a somber melodic touch to riddim and dubstep. Their latest track ‘Bang Bang Bang‘ featuring Leroy is no exception, where a hip-hop-inspired introduction leads fans into wonky madness. Utilizing their distinctive synths layered over ear-shattering percussion, London Nebel captivate fans for a full four and a half minutes with their catchy melodies and impeccable production.

Capping off a year filled with unparalleled compilations, albums, and EPs from some of bass music’s best, Disciple and their Round Table counterpart brought the heat one last time to bid farewell to an epic year. If the Knights of the Round Table Vol. 2 is any indication of their future, it’s safe to say 2019 will be even bigger and better for the artists and fans alike.
