Australian producer Palace has been wowing us since he first landed on our radar back in 2014. So when I saw he reworked Duke Dumont my expectations were preset quite high. Thankfully, as per usual, he delivered with a perfect re-imagination. The reworked backdrop makes the vocals from the original even more passionate and gripping; giving them just enough room to breathe before sweeping waves of future bass engulf listeners in feels. Wave Racer has been relatively quiet for nearly a year. With the warm weather finally beginning to be felt, it seems only right that the Australia producer makes a return. Today, Wave Racer dropped his official remix of Duke Dumont’s ‘The Giver (Reprise)’. The track is more minimalistic than his prior releases. The vocals take center stage, creating the feel of an emotional future R&B ballad. Despite the new sound, he does manage to slip in his signature summery synths just so you know it’s a Wave Racer track off the first listen. Stream below.
