Best known in the wave scene, the Helsinki-based artist has a real knack for creating all-encompassing soundscapes in his tracks, with a multitude of layers engulfing your senses and hypnotizing your mind. Elaksi’s latest titled ‘They Want’ does just that, but with an added symphonic buildup that really makes this a standout track.

Inspired by consumerism and our growing need of instant gratification, ‘They Want’ paints a dark future where society and the human mind has fallen ill under the spell of wanting more. The track sees the return of Elaksi’s strong wave music influences, cinematic atmosphere, and dedication into world-building around his emotionally filled trap outings. ‘They Want’ is orchestral yet sinister. It is reverberating and piercing. It builds intricately to an apex of colossal tension before undercutting you with anthemic trap synths.
