Since Enferno and Dj Shiftee’s fake feud lead to the announcement of the formation of E.A.S.Y. the legendary DJs have been showcasing their production skills. Their latest release is a remix of Sia’s ‘Big Girls Cry’. The track packs the emotional feel of the original with moving vocals and downtempo feels. The sadness is perfectly contrasted with hard hitting trap drops that turn the track way up. Synth stabs cut deeper and vocals tweaks accentuate the sadness. E.A.S.Y. – Pop Music

Two of today’s finest DJ’s, Shiftee & Enferno (E.A.S.Y.), are back with a fresh track and an incredible live video to accompany it. ‘Pop Music’ is a laid back trap tune that features killer synth work and catchy vocal loops. The sound is reminiscent of Keys N Krates with a funky twist. The track is great on its own but the live video will give you a new appreciation. Enferno & Shiftee are E.A.S.Y.

Earlier this week a Twitter beef broke out between well respected DJs Enferno and Shiftee. After a ton of smack talk back and forth, they seemed to come to an agreement that they would settle things on the decks, through a livestream early today. However when the link to the live stream finally came up this morning, it wasn’t a battle that viewers were graced with, but a live video of them ripping apart ‘When Will The Bass Drop’ (see below). The video showcases what live djing is really about, all while poking fun at the SNL skit that clowned today’s big name DJs. It looks like the beef was an elaborate ruse to build anticipation for their new joint endeavor E.A.S.Y. Their goal? To shine some light on #RealDJing. I love the idea, considering technical DJ skills are grossly overlooked and underated these days.

In addition to the video they also released their first track ‘Fly Away’ which combines elements of Future Bass, Jersey Club and Trap for an upbeat feel good tune. Though many were disappointed that the battle didn’t go down, I think the long term output of this collab will greatly outweigh the excitement of a single battle.
