Falcons & GTA Link Up For ‘Buyaka’

Falcons & GTA are both renowned for their incredible abilities to mix and defy genres. They sprinkle elements of trap, rap, R&B, moombahton, future bass and more into their production pot and always cook up that heat. Seeing them come together just feels right especially with Stush on the vocals. Having each worked with Stush previously, the chemistry is killer. ‘Buyaka’ is just as rough and energetic as the title suggests. Stush brings an intoxicating dance hall energy that’s backed with snappy snares and snarling bass. As the first drop hits, her chest pounding “Buyaka, Buyaka” chant will ignite your spirit. The beat breaks down and slows up just so that it can come back that much more sinister. The midpoint is pure madness; a violent trap war. Stush swags herself back in, commanding your ears once again before you’re laid out with a tempo-switching finale that reminds us what makes GTA and Falcons so special. Stream ‘Buyaka’ below.

Falcons & King Jet Are Deading That ‘Nonsense’

There’s something special to be said for consistency, especially in the music industry. More often than not, artists are here today, gone tommorow, desperately hopping from sound to sound trying to stay hot. Falcons isn’t on that wave. The producer has been keeping it 100 for years, dropping real shit time after time. Proving this once more comes ‘Nonsense,’ a trunk pounding slapper with King Jet. The cut combines swagged out bars, pitched vocals, and snapping snares with some hard-hitting bass and hypnotizing undertones. This some boss shit.

WayHome is less than a week away! Kicking off on Friday July 28th, the 3 day festival is assured to be one for the books with a wide array of talent. Headliners include Flume, Justice, Schoolboy Q, Frank Ocean, Porter Robinson and more. In addition to the top billed headliners is a slew of stellar must see acts. As you’ve come to expect, we’ve rounded up all the can’t miss (non-headlining) acts. Check the list below and let us know who you are most excited to see.

Danny Brown

Danny Brown’s energy effectively dominates and infects the crowd the second he hits any stage. A big smile and even bigger sound, the Detroit artist’s unique range of style never leaves room for a dull moment. A bite to his flow, and an undeniable steez, Danny Brown’s catalog is stacked with collaborations from Kendrick Lamar, Ab Soul and Earl Sweatshirt to DJ Shadow, Freddie Gibbs, Purity Ring and more. If this performance is anything like his new video for ‘Lost,’ we’re in for a trip. You are now entering the sometimes manic, sometimes abstract, always vivid dimension of Danny Brown. Mura Masa

Mura Masa and summer are pretty much synonymous. His music perfectly encapsulates everything that makes the season so special while weaving in emotional and evocative elements for a sound that is spellbinding. His incredible self-titled album just dropped this month and this will be the first chance to hear him perform the project. His show goes beyond the typical DJ set, combining keys and drums for an engaging and unique experience. Although it isn’t listed, Masa has been known to tour and perform alongside vocalist/rapper Bonzai. If she’s there alongside Mura Masa, expect this to be one of the best sets of the weekend. If it turns out to be a solo set, it certainly won’t disappoint either. Mura Masa is one of the most impressive producers in music at the moment, find out why at 11:00pm on Saturday (WayAway).

Falcons

Falcons has been a FUXWITHIT favourite since we started the site. The LA producer has been heating up the summer with smashes like ‘Boo You Know (Ft. Goldlink)’ and ‘Want Your Body’. His unique blend of electronic music and rap makes him a must see for fans of either genre. If you love both, it doesn’t get mulch better than this. Falcons will have the festival feeling like the best house party you’ve ever been too. Turn up on Sunday at 7:30pm, Perrier Greenhouse.

It seems Prom is looking to keep this going as he drops off Going Steady Vol. 3.
