I first heard MEDIES when he sent us through his ‘Venus vs. French Montana’ and Lil Wayne ‘Know What I’m Doing’ remix. Both trap bangers instantly caught my ear and when I heard his Carmack-esq ‘Puhmani’ his talent became undeniable. With less than 500 followers on SoundCloud, he may be one of the best slept on producers right now. Taking a break from the hard hitting sounds the producer has come through with a smooth remix of French Montana – ‘Ain’t Worried About Nothin’. Creating a completely different vibe from the original, it’s a laid back cruisin’ anthem with shimmering synths and a smooth melody. You can almost see the sunset while cruisin’ in a drop top. Whoa. Hudson Mohawke may have dropped this joint earlier in the year and it may have been used as the lead single from his EP of the same name – but this is new. Though this isn’t the CDQ version that we’re all waiting for, it is definitely good enough. This version features vocals from Pusha T, French Montana, Travis Scott and Future on the hook.
