TrapHood Family caught my attention earlier this year with the release off their killer Vol. 2 Sampler. Since then I’ve been keeping a close eye out for their next release and I am pleased to announced that it’s here! The Vol.3 Sampler is jam packed with hard hitting trap anthems from King Peanuts x NextRO, Wolf Trap, Karl Hungus, TMRW, Duck&Bear x JoMEriX & more. Some early standouts include EVERLAKE’S boomin’ ‘Lean Back’, Wayvee x GT Vienna’s ‘No Doubt’ and the filthy bass driven ‘Bounce Bounce’ from Gutta Kick. TrapHood Family – World Trapped Vol. 2

Collectives have been taking over the game in the past year or so. From Soulection and WEDIDIT to Moving Castle and Hegemon, each is leveraging the joint power of the artists fan bases to multiply their organic growth and put forth incredible collaborations and projects. The newest collective to land on my radar is the Austrian based TrapHood Family. Founded in 2014, the collective consists of 32 artists around the world including Germany, Moldova, U.S., Portugal, France, and more. Despite the name, they produce more than just trap with artists dabbling in twerk, future bass, rap, moombahton and more.

Today the fam unleashed their World Trapped Vol. 2 Sampler. The project knocks from front to back but early standouts include the Middle Eastern influenced ‘Duro’ from Karl Hungus, Calvin Cook’s sexy club tune ‘Drippin Wet’ and the banger ‘To The Wall’ from GT Vienna. My personal favourite comes from up-and-comer DGZT. ‘Late Message’ fuses futuristic melodies with stunning vocal loops and gritty 808’s. In less than three minutes the track transitions through a multitude of sounds, vibes and genres for a truly unique listening experience.
