The two producers need no introduction to the FUXWITHIT audience given their impeccable back catalogs and frequent appearances on our site. For their latest offering, the two unleash an official remix for Dirty Audio & Bobby Blakdout’s ‘Bands.’

Built around the flex-filled Gucci Mane vocals, ‘Bands’ mixes rap, dubstep, and festival trap tendencies for an absolutely devastating banger. The intro is trapped out as Gucci skates over the minimal backing. The lyrics are repeated for an anthemic feel before the pair drop it out into a distorted industrial aesthetic that’s off-killer and destructive in all the right ways. With gritty and massive production and the swagged out raps, expect this one to be a staple this festival season.

Most know Hekler for his catastrophic approach to heavy music, as the talented artist who has made his rounds on all of the bass scene’s biggest labels has previously concocted sounds capable of destroying the strongest of foundations. What people might not know about Shaun Bacus, though, is that the Las Vegas-native was once part of a full-fledged symphony, and that musicality runs deep within his veins.

Today, Hekler looks to turn to a new chapter of his musical endeavours, leaving behind his old self for something fresh and exciting – but drawing influence from his vast experience. About the change, Hekler states, “I’ve always felt lost musically and really never knew how to express myself as an artist. That has changed dramatically.” With the announcement of an album on the horizon and the first single, ‘One I Want,’ out today, Bacus is ready to take the scene by storm once again.

According to the artist, ‘One I Want’ is “a love song with ambient infectious melodies representing someone you love and showing them that they’re the one for you.” Featuring lush vocals from Misdom, ‘One I Want’ is one of few vocal-driven pieces from Hekler, but his ability to make these work over his pristine instrumentals does not go unnoticed. From painting a serene soundscape under Misdom’s lyrics, to taking the limelight with shimmering synths in the drop sections, Hekler creates an vividly emotional piece in his latest, attesting to his undeniable talent. Don’t miss ‘One I Want’ below.

Despite being known for his aggressive hybrid approach that seamlessly fuses trap and dubstep in a festival-friendly manner, Hekler has also proven to be a versatile artist capable of exploring a plethora of genres and styles. Opting to blend all the facets of his varied skill set in his latest release, the talented artist returns to Never Say Die with ‘Data Transfer’ to create an oddly beautiful bass brute.

‘Data Transfer’ begins in a peaceful and tranquil way, very gradually building in energy but keeping an ethereal and almost orchestral aura throughout. It’s only when an “evacuation sequence, activated” sample comes about that the hints of impending madness appear, before an ominous countdown transitions ‘Data Transfer’ into the beast that it is. Hekler’s distinct metallic sound shines in the first drop as punchy percussion and mechanical fills accentuate the lead. A rejuvenating bridge brings listeners to the latter half of the track, before Hekler unleashes all hell in a dubstep-leaning second drop.

There’s no denying that this is one of Hekler’s most impressive releases to date. Don’t miss ‘Data Transfer’ below.

Now, Hekler returns to Never Say Die with another hybrid heater titled ‘Sync Mode’ that is sure to drive any listener straight to the insane asylum through its menacing frequencies. Certainly not for the faint of heart, Hekler builds up from an intriguing opening into true robotic chaos, unleashing distorted synths and rumbling punches to no end. The trap-influenced percussion paired with the heavy dubstep-leaning sounds are further proof of Hekler’s undeniable ability of combining the two genres with ease.

There may not be a hotter name in bass music than Hekler in recent months. Recent bookings for the summer’s biggest festivals such as HARD Summer and Lost Lands are a testament to the producer’s quick rise to the top, and his latest collaboration with Calcium titled ‘Doom‘ set the stage for the what we can expect from the multi-talented artist. Fresh off the aforementioned post-apocalyptic melter, Hekler is back with his first solo EP titled What The Hek, out in full today on Never Say Die.

Displaying a dexterity and versatility that is unparalleled in the bass realm, the What The Hek EP is not for the faint of heart. ‘Get Loose’ kicks the project off in full force, where Sam King’s distinct vocals are used to catapult the track into trap-riddim hybrid sure to send any festival crowd into a frenzy. Blurring the lines between all variations of bass music in a single track as he does so well, Hekler has created a wild weapon in ‘Get Loose’. ‘Doom’ follows, before ‘Excommunicado’ and ‘Bands’ see the adept producer return to his entertainingly obnoxious heavy trap signature.

What do you get when two of bass music’s hottest acts come together on one massive single? A terrible fate, or as Calcium and Hekler like to call it, ‘Doom’. With the former quickly establishing himself among the greats with heavy-hitting releases such as ‘Mega Punch‘ and his recent Skull Vault EP, and the latter consistently blurring lines between dubstep and trap in tracks like ‘Wraith‘ and ‘404‘, it was only a matter of time until the two rising stars came together to unleash a beast of epic proportions.

First teased in Calcium’s Teeth N’ Bones Vol. 3 mix, the two promised to drop the collaboration if each of their respective tweets reached 500 retweets earlier this week. Bass fans around the world jumped at the opportunity of hearing the collaboration as the tweets quickly reached their targets, leading us to the impending ‘Doom’, out today on Never Say Die.

Straight off the bat, Calcium’s signature synths and percussion are heard, quickly building up to a climax of a barrage of gunshot-like stabs. The ear-shattering frequencies and monstrous sound design flex only continue to grow stronger as the track progresses, as Calcium and Hekler’s strengths are complimented in the drops. Showcasing their rapid evolution as sound maestros, the pair of producers play with tempo and timing in the second half, sure to leave dubstep fans awe-struck and fully satisfied.

Don’t miss ‘Doom’ below and stay tuned for Hekler’s upcoming What The Hek EP, out on April 26th.

The vanguard of auspicious producers is as well-equipped and brimming with talent as ever before. Justly located at the forefront of this bass crusade, YOOKiE and HEKLER have thoroughly distinguished their sounds from the masses through rigid innovation, complex sound design and a sonic profile that could startle a mountain.

Seas of casualties lie in wake of this conquest, as past behemoths such as ‘MF Thang’ and ‘Ultimate’ have single-handedly decimated entire crowds of victims in live sets and a collaborative Never Say Die debut seems to be the most ideal scenario in which these two styles could coalesce. It goes without saying that ‘Wraith’ is destined to be a lethal gauntlet of bass, narrowly suitable for the faint-hearted.

A piercing riser melds effortlessly into a rigorous medley of synths, which waver delicately amid storming surges of horns. A metallic, echoing drumroll reveal a subtle synth intricacy in the melody, which hastens in pace as a long-winded build kicks into motion. A riveting snare pattern possesses the track before suddenly, the echoing rhythm of drums return, bringing the build to its final crescendo before a startling vocal sample unleashes incisive, oscillating bass frequencies amid catastrophic sub fills.

Riddled with complexity, YOOKiE & HEKLER tuck excruciating levels of bass through every twist and turn of ‘Wraith’, while resourceful sound design and a veteran ear for production keep the beast within its cage.

Earlier this year Hydraulix set the game on fire with his masterful Twonk debut Madness. For some artists a release of that calibre would be enough to call it a year. Not Hydraulix. The Sydney based beatmaker has returned with yet another impressive body of work with his brand new Trippin EP. Picking up right where he left off, the Hatch assisted ‘Vibe Machine’ brings the bass. It’s a dark and dirty trap slapper with a foreign flair. The title track switches the tone by presenting a poppier leaning. Micah Jay’s smooth vocals make this festival and radio-ready while some thunderous drops help to ensure there’s just enough grit. For those looking to get back onto a harder direction, ‘Get Buck’ will not disappoint. The collaborative effort with up-and-coming talent HEKLER is the rawest and most rowdy cut here. Closing things out comes ‘Al Capone Em’. Riff Raff hops on beat with the ridiculous swagger that only he can provide. It’s wonky, weird and just what you’d expect from these two.

Oh and as if the EP wasn’t enough, Hydraulix just dropped another track with Brillz & Macntaj entitled ‘Fouth Kind’ which sounds like an insane alien invasion. Listen below.
