Bishop Nehru – You Stressin’ (Produced by Disclosure)

Up-and-coming New York rapper Bishop Nehru just dropped a huge new track entitled You Stressin’. Interestingly the track was produced critically acclaimed electronic music duo Disclosure. The track has a mellowed out, New York, 90’s vibe. This is the first time I’ve heard of Disclosure producing a hip-hop track (which says something about Bishop Nehru) but they sound right at home. Bishop comes through with a smooth flow and some dope lyrics. The track will be released on iTunes soon, but for now stream it below. His style instantly draws comparisons to fellow young guns Joey Bada$$ and Chester Watson. It’s hard to believe that his kid’s only 16 years old, so look for him to continue to get bigger and better. We predict big things for him this year, especially considering the fact that he’s got a project with MF Doom in the works and plans to release a ton of new music.

New Music: Step Brothers (Alchemist and Evidence) feat. Action Bronson – Mums in the Garage

Hip Hop producer and DJ Alchemist and Dilated People’s member Evidence link up to create a rap duo known as the Step Brothers. After confirming their Lord Steppington LP last year, the duo has released a joint with Queens native Action Bronson. The upcoming LP is sure to be a treat for heads who are fans of these artists individually. Also, I’ve been saying this for a hot minute, Bambam (Action Bronson) has the illest voice in hip hop right now! Peep the track and let us know if you fux or not.

Kendrick Lamar: GRAMMYs Best New Artist Nominee – Day In The Life

You know Kendrick? The rapper from Compton that flipped the game upside down when he dropped his masterfully crafted good kid, m.A.A.d. city? Yea, fam. That Kendrick. Easily one of the best rappers out now, and definitely one trending to go down as one of the best of all time, he’s been nominated for a Grammy. As a part of The GRAMMY’s nominee web series, Kendrick sat down with the GRAMMY’s to talk about his journey and how it feels to be where he is now. He goes on to talk about how his music was his claim to fame, “that’s how I remain focused on my art, knowing it wasn’t the hype, it wasn’t the press, it wasn’t a publicity stunt, it was the music, from day 1, so I have to remember that. No sleep, more work, you know, but it’s my passion”. Kendrick is up for 7 GRAMMY nominations including, Album of the Year and Best New Artist. We’re hoping he takes both. Peep the interview below.

New Music: DJ Kay Slay – 90’s Flow

Holy hell. The features on this joint are pretty dope. Off Kay Slay’s upcoming album Rhyme or Die. Here’s the list of features:
Fat Joe, Ghostface, Raekwon, Sheek Louch, McGruff, N.O.R.E., Lil Fame of M.O.P., Prodigy and Rell. Sounds like prison did Fat Joe some good, his flow is on point. Ghostface spits “put ya ear to speakers, this is rap easter, snatch n*ggas eggs and shit, bone ya senorita”, which to me is definitely reminiscent of a 90’s flow. M.O.P’s Lil Fame comes in with that high energy we all know of and starts his assault with “first of all I’m a underdog, I don’t like none of y’all, winter, spring, summer, fall, I keep it gutter dawg”. The bars keep coming and I’m glad these cats came together on this. Listen below.
