It’s deep, gloomy and engrossing while maintaining an underlying air of optimism. Hotel Garuda, the collaborative effort from Manila Killa and Candle Weather has produced some of the nicest remixes of the past year (‘Nobody Else,’ ‘Raindrops,’ ‘Make You Feel’). Always striving to expand, their latest original ‘Smoke Signals’ is their strongest work to date.The track opens with a sombre yet angelic feel. As things come into focus, alluring vocals captivate you as hypnotizing synths and slow burning percussion build anticipation. The vibe switches up, dropping you out of the clouds and into the club as deep house feels surround you. This all adds up to an original that is just that, original. It’s a beautiful work that shows why Hotel Gaurda are on the forefront of the new house movement. Stream below.
