Ok, enough drama for today. Let’s close the curtain and get back to reality where I am Sid has finally unleashed his highly anticipated crowfounded EP, The Dancing Plague. Based on the homonym mania and its most famous outbreaks during the course of history, this four-track collection reveals once and for all that this Italian producer is ready to play toe-to-toe with the big names.

Cryptic, mighty, stylish, impeccable, it’s not overstated to say that ‘Mass Psychogenic Illness’ and ‘Aachen 1374’ are his best works to date, the peak of Sid’s evergreen creative genius, and the whole EP should be the reckoned no less than a new Mecca for all the legion of fans that worship names like Rezz, 1788-L and Gesaffelstein. It’s a suggestive and hypnotic journey through dark atmospheres, distorted bass and variable BPM, a concept project that is so carefully curated (I highly suggest to check out the artist’s commentary track by track).

While the main course from the Italian producer is coming in the next few months under the form of a visionary, fascinating EP, today here at FUXWITHIT we’re premiering a (not so) little antipasto, something to tease and provoke your hunger and lust. ‘”EDM Death Machine’i s a masterpiece, some years ago it was everywhere, in every set, and it’s hard to believe that this year it will turn five. As a lover of the original track, it has been awesome to work on my version’ said Sid, and as much he enjoyed producing it, trust us, you will enjoy listening to it twice as much.

There’s no parachute that will save you from this drop of gargantuan proportion. Sid’s minimal treatment
gets rid of both the vocals and the hilarious Sandstorm sample and focuses its attention uniquely on the hardcore part of the original track, which is slowed down to fit into his signature tempo. Then, the obsessive dynamic of Knife Party’s frenzy dies and is reborn as a rough, dirty, hypnotic pace, a lethal combination of industrial extraction that definitely find its best exploitation played live on a proper sound system.
