Destructo’s Renegade EP comes with a tour this spring

Destructo has a stacked roster for his latest EP – Renegade boasts featured artists such as iLoveMakonnen, Pusha T and E-40, and one can only hope that they join him for his upcoming spring tour.

As the EP progresses, the G-house vibe gets heavier with each song – save a brief trap interlude near the end, from the title track with Freddie Gibbs. Special mention goes to his collab track with Wax Motif: embedded in the heart of the EP, the deep bass combined with Pusha & Starrah‘s overlaying vocals will get you bouncing without even realizing it.

Destructo’s Renegade 2.0 tour, which pays homage to the EP, will see him travel across North America from April to June. We highly recommend catching him live if you get the chance! Check out the tour dates and EP below; tickets can be purchased via his website.

2015 continues to be a massive year for TroyBoi. It seems his relentless release schedule and inventive sound have finally garnered the success he deserves. His collab with Flosstradamus is one of the biggest tracks of 2015 and he’s got upcoming releases with Craze and Diplo. Keeping up the theme of big moves, TroyBoi has been recruited for an official remix of Father, ILoveMakonnen & Key!’s ‘Look At Wrist’. The rework keeps the core elements of the track in tact (all the verse are there) but adds some serious bump. TroyBoi’s signature style is on display with drum patterns that’ll break your neck and pitched down vocal tones scattered throughout. Stream the track below.

ILOVEMAKONNEN – I Don’t Sell Molly No More (SAMISONI Rework)

Back in November newcomer SAMISONI wow’d us with a stellar deep house bootleg of A$AP MOB’s ‘Hella Hoes’. The producer returns today with another deep house remix of an anthematic rap tune, this time taking on ILOVEMAKONNEN’s ‘I Don’t Sell Molly No More’. The track opens with a housey intro that layers the familiar vocals leading into a filthy deep house drop. It then progresses into a groovy section before mellowing out for a final break and build. The rework closes on a high note with a wobbly bass heavy section. With two killer remixes in a row, SAMISONI is definitely an artist to watch in 2015. Stream below, no word on a download as of yet.

Goin’ Up! By now you’ve heard this track on the radio, at the club, the last house party – and well everywhere. ILoveMakonnen is rising quickly and after signing to Drake’s OVO Sound label, he’s solidified himself as a strong new entrant. Early Tuesday morning the OVO Sound camp released the visual for the smash hit that has people wanting to party more during the week (ha!). iLoveMakonnen – I Don’t Sell Molly No More (Feat. Wiz Khalifa)

I haven’t decided whether iLoveMakonnen has actually got talent or is just another trend. However, nobody can deny that ‘I Don’t Sell Molly No More,’ isn’t catchy. 16-bit video game-style production from Sonny Digital and Makonnen’s simple rhymes and adolescent-sounding chorus give it an emotional, nostalgic sort of vibe, similar to ‘Tuesday.’ Although Khalifa’s verse doesn’t compare to Drake’s, this attention from multiple high profile rappers proves that we only have more to look forward to from this Atlanta native.
