It’s been a minute since our last installment of Viibes but rest assured we haven’t forgotten about the series. For those unfamiliar, Viibes is our curated collection of breathe-taking, laid back, and melodic beats. It’s where airy soundscapes and 808’s collide for a sound that is infinitely chill. For the 11th edition we’ve got a wide range of talent from new comers like Baesic, Tom Misch and Klimeks to staples like oshi, Cavalier, EveryNite, Medasin and J-Louis. Bump this and drift off into the clouds.

Bryson Tiller & J-Louis are the Perfect Match

Two weeks back we posted an incredible remix of Bryson Tiller’s ‘Let Em Know’ courtesy of J-Louis. Immediately after hearing it I thought, “I need more of this in my life”. As if J-Louis read my mind, today he unleashed a 5 track EP of Bryson Tiller remixes. The project is a perfect marriage of J-Louis’ soulful, bass heavy and snapping production with Tiller’s smooth mix of raps and singing. The EP defines what future R&B is about and shows why both artists are two of the illest on the rise. Making the release even better is the fact that all but one of the tracks are free downloads. Bryson Tiller has been blowing up my SoundCloud stream in the past few months with some of my favourite producers opting to remix his music. The latest comes in the form of a Trapsoul rework courtesy of J-Louis. It’s a clean blend of smooth R&B and soft keys with snapping 808’s and deep bass.
