Division is the act or process of separating or being separated into parts. A fitting title for the latest sumthin sumthin project. Normally when hearing this word, it is likely that math is the first thought that comes to mind. If you allow that to dissolve and the frequencies of sumthin sumthin to surround you, he puts it on a direct presentation in the form of audio. The beginning phase hits all of the grungy elements with flickers of light fighting to shine through. After crossing over into the second half, the energy is softer and more delicate. While the chaotic energy wrestles with that of orderly liveliness, the track balances out the two evenly. ‘Division’ showcases the most polished style of sumthin sumthin and can be heard in full below.

This track represents my evolution so far as an artist. Each section of this track is an homage to the different styles I’ve gravitated towards throughout the years, from heavy basses to a more melodic structure. Like other tunes of mine, I’m again trying to convey both dark & and light energies into a single track.

The perfect anthem to end hot girl summer, ‘Not Ready To Commit’ is about exactly what you’d expect it to be about. Jantine’s sirenic vocals captivate you from the very beginning, deceptively bringing you in only to hit you where it hurts with the lyrics. Bopsmith BeauDamian tops it all off with the production. The producer incorporates tantalizing strings, punchy percussion, and bubbly basslines to soften the blow of Jantine’s harsh words.

Sometimes it is not the right time, sometimes there is not the right connection and sometimes there is not a particular reason at all. Every single human being on Earth deals differently with these situations. When Jantine, @ariestorm (co-writer / guitarist) and I wrote the lyrics, we created a scenario where two people came together before breaking up. It always feels sad to disappoint the other person or to be disappointed by someone we care about, but we all know that everyone deserves honesty. One artist in particular who really caught our ear was SØMETHING’s remix. Adding his groovy trap rhythms is a perfect execution when working on this. His deep bass leads cut through the competition in style. Turning it into his own club heater. Him and all the others were perfect choices.

The Want It remix EP has a ton of gems and ear candy laying deep inside. Containing surprises around every corner.
