YOOKiE and Jameston Thieves Deliver Eccentric Heater ‘Pop Rocks’

You never know what you’re going to get when frequent collaborators come together on a track. One should always listen to a joint project with an open-mind, because that’s often when artists step out of their comfort zone to deliver something new and unique. Countless producers have preached how working in the studio with someone else completely changes their way of approaching a track, and this fresh take is on full display in YOOKiE and Jameston Thieves’ newest collaboration titled ‘Pop Rocks’.

Having collaborated on a few tracks in the past, the chemistry between the artists shines in the genre-defying ‘Pop Rocks’. Both YOOKiE and Jameston Thieves have stepped out of their comfort zone to deliver an eccentric heater riddled with gritty synths and unmatched energy. Jameston Thieves described this track best, stating it’s “a paradox of vibes, where the song is rather dark feeling, but the lyrics are more or less a bit whimsical.”

Jameston Thieves Transcends Genres & Dimensions With ‘Hagakure’

Jameston Thieves is highly regarded for his ability to transcend genres and seemingly dimensions. Each listen to a new track feels like your first time on a new drug. His latest offering is a hippy flip at a boom bap rap set, inside a renaissance fair. Yes, you read that correctly. Abrax Phaeton brings a classic rap aesthetic that’s part street swagger and part psychedelic wave. The backing moves from hazy, cloud rap beats into a plucky dreamsphere. The low-key energy is distorted and intensified into a crazy breakdown that’s part dubstep, part psyc-rock with a sprinkle of future bass that’ll take you outside of earth’s reality. Abrax’s voice pulls you back to earth but it’s not for long, as you drift into a portal of insane sound design once more. I guarantee you, this is unlike anything you’ve ever heard. Jameston Thieves & PRXZM’s ‘Inside The Flames’ Is a Summer Afternoon on DMT

Jameston Thieves‘ music is extraordinary. He doesn’t craft tracks, he creates journeys. The latest trip is a collab with PRXZM entitled ‘Inside The Flames.’ It’s a causal Saturday afternoon. The sun is shining, the air is warm and you’re kicking it in the park with a seductive stranger. It seems things couldn’t get any more perfect until they pull out a crisp J and spark it up. It’s Saturday and you ain’t got nothing to do, so you causally take a few drags and prepare for Mary’s gentle embrace. The expectation of a mellow buzz is demolished by an incredulous mind morphing episode (was that DMT?). Your perception is turned inside out. You can see sounds and taste images. Everything you once knew comes into question. Is the world what we see or is that just how our mind processes it? What if what we see isn’t really what it is? The intensity wanes but it’s only for a short time before you’re sucked back into a black hole for another transcended trip. When you think it just may too much bear, the world you know returns to focus. The sun warms your skin and a smiling face tells you everything is alright. Take a trip ‘Inside The Flames’.

Jameston Thieves Proves To Be One Of Bass Music’s Most Innovative Producers with ‘Spiritwars’

With the release of ‘Spiritwars’ Jameston Thieves further proves to be one of the top innovators in the bass music realm. The track opens with a trippy vocal sample and some killer guitar riffs. It’s a trippy sound that feels like you dropped something a few hours ago and somehow ended up in the desert. As your trip intensifies the voice in your head becomes distorted and more intense and then bam! You’re not in the desert anymore, but hurtling through outer space at 1000km per hour, drifting by planets while your mind tries to make sense of the intensity. A record is pulled back and you return to the desert wondering what just occurred. As you wipe the sweat from your brow, you feel the intensity build once more before being transported into some crazy hyper-dimension. As you awake from the wild trip you ask yourself, “what the fuck just happened?” Only to snap out of your daze and realize you just got lost in ‘Spiritwars’. NIGHTOWLS & Jameston Thieves make NGHTMRE’s ‘Street’ Even Harder

If you’ve listened to NGHTMRE’s ‘Street’ you probably thought that the track couldn’t get any harder… but then you would be wrong. LA’s NIGHTOWLS & Phoenix’s Jameston Thieves took their homie’s track and made it even filthier. With a bass house bounce, some disgusting dubbed out basslines and a ridiculous amount of wonky, this rework is next level. Don’t be surprised if this starts getting rinsed out by your favourite djs, including Skrillex, I couldn’t think of DJ who’s set this would fit better in.
