#tbt – Tracks You May Have Missed – Kanye West – Looking for Trouble with GOOD Music and J.Cole

Well you found it motherfucker. For this week’s #tbt segment we bring you a track that shut the Internet down in 2010, all thanks to the last verse. This track was a part of the GOOD Friday series that was initiated by Mr. West himself in an effort to build a bigger buzz for his label, artists and his album (MBDTF).

This track features Pusha T, CyHi The Prynce, Big Sean and J.Cole with a verse from Kanye too. If you missed this track back in 2010 and somehow haven’t heard it since, this is a gem. The beat brings you that soon-to-be-rockstar feel and the verse from all the artists involved are all around pretty solid. But as this track made its rounds on the major blogs, the verse that stood out the most is J.Cole’s. He drops some of his best bars on this feature and when the track goes a capella, Cole goes off.

Celebrating his birthday by performing at the legendary Madison Square Garden, releasing a new mixtape and inking a partnership deal with Interscope, he got an impressive gift from his boss. Jigga touched down in the Garden and gave Cole his original Roc-A-Fella chain as a birthday gift. The What Dreams May Come tour is on its second leg and it’s easy to see that J.Cole is definitely a star now. Clap for ’em.

J. Cole Honours Nas with the Vibe Impact Award

J. Cole made waves with Born Sinner this year. He dropped two radio smash tracks, Power Trip and Crooked Smile, but it was his track Let Nas Down that created serious discussion among hip hop heads. Despite the Grammy snub for Best Rap Album, Cole took Vibe up on the opportunity to honour his idol and favourite rapper, Nas with the Vibe Impact Award. Despite the shaky, low res camera work, the audio is perfect. The love Cole has for Nas does not go unnoticed. Nas is easily one of the greatest of all time. Check out the video below of J.
