[SUS] Collective is a brand that pioneers progressive and ambitious trap. The underground can’t be mentioned without bringing up [SUS]. Their showcase of rising producers started in 2017 under the moniker [SUS] Tape Vol. 1 and they’re introducing us to volume seven right now. Each track is an individual chapter that allows for the listener to step into the minds of these artists and collectively create a book well worth reading. One track that stands out to FUXWITHIT in particular is ‘Mean Mug‘ which peels back the prolific layer of three distinct designers: aedfx., Jestic, and [SUS] collective co-founder episcool.

‘Mean Mug’ opens the doors and invites you in with its soft build that allows each sound to have its own lane before it is all integrated into a homogeneous trap experience. A focus on the elaborate production with minimal but effective design is what sets ‘Mean Mug’ apart from the rest. It creates a bass haven that immediately lays the foundation for the forward-thinking percussion.
