]]> JUDGE has been bubbling on our radar for quite some time. With the release of X he’s officially arrived. The 5 track projects sees JUDGE connecting with some of the best in the game, from Alexander Lewis and X&G, to Wax Motif and graves. The Dylan Brady assisted ‘Bark,’ kicks things off with ominous undertones, futuristic sound design and of course a few solid dog samples. ‘Blades’ is exactly what you’d expect from an X&G collaboration; dark, dirty and teetering on insane. With Alexander Lewis bringing the brass for ‘Bright,’ it’s an easy standout with an epic air. ‘Lessons’ is a hybrid record that moves between viscous trap, ignorant rap and bouncy G-House (shout out Wax Motif). A fitting conclusion is brought forth on ‘Rush’ with graves. The record packs a grande soundscape with some sinister yet emotional leanings. X is a hard-hitting offering that makes a strong statement. Don’t sleep on JUDGE.
