For a track that utilizes a simple, yet acutely potent lead, ‘Zoom’ presents the ideal canvas for collaboration, providing both an ample structure to work from as well as plenty of room for innovation. The compilation features contributions from Never Say Die veteran Krimer as well as frontrunners in the modern wave of dubstep including Moore Kismet, K-NINE, TRVCY, & L.U.X. to ensure a level of innovation and diversity that can rival the tremendous impact of the original.

“Working on this remix for Spag Heddy was so awesome, as I’ve looked up to him for so many years. ‘Zoom’ was one of the most highly anticipated tracks in all of bass music, so for NSD and 24-8 to have given me this opportunity is literally so awesome and seems like a full-circle moment for my career,” Adelanto-based Moore Kismet shares regarding the magnitude of the opportunity. “I wanted to stay as true to the original as I could but I also got my own route with it, and I think I did a pretty damn good job of that!”

Encompassing numerous subgenres within the bass music arena, each remix within the compilation assumes the challenge of finding creative symmetry. Working to utilize aspects of the original, while preserving aspects of authenticity within their own style. “In all honesty, I’m still in shock over the remix, opportunities like this come rarely. With so much excitement and ambition, I re-wrote the record to resemble “K-NINE,” the outcome was this darker heavy version of ‘Zoom’ and I couldn’t be happier.”

While the young producer has more than demonstrated his proficiency in working independently, in his latest release ‘Paimon’ he teams up with budding riddim aficionado K-NINE for an unsuspected but perfectly fitting combination of unique sounds.

A reverberating synth provides the warm welcome for the tune, melting effortlessly into a slow-motion warped out sample which forewarns the impending doom, offering one last opportunity for retreat. A sinister melody haunts the background as the vocal loop grows in cadence, backed with a mighty hydraulic riser which lets loose a rattling invasion of tight metallic clicks. A short-lived reprise of the vocal loop breaks almost instantaneously into the second undulation of fluctuating bass quells, ensuring that the track leaves not a single survivor.

Presenting a blank canvas for two distinct styles to heighten and intensify one another, ‘Paimon’ validates the conclusion that the most unexpected collaborations can create the most resounding impact.
