Seeing Different Versions Of This Image On Your Favourite Artists’ Socials? Here’s What It Means

Earlier today, a slew of our favorite artists including Brillz, Bro Safari, ETC!ETC!, Willy Joy, Lil Texas and more all began posting different iterations of the image above. The coordinated effort left fans wondering what it could mean. The “R-001” text in the top corner hinted towards the first installment of a compilation. For hardcore fans of Brillz, the symbol at the center may look familiar. That’s cause it’s actually the “T” from his newly stylized Twonk logo. It turns out the images are teasers for the upcoming Twonkilation, Vol. 1 EP. According to TrackItDown, the project is due out next Friday on Twonk Records and will feature the aforementioned artists plus Hydraulix, Barely Alive, Nonsens, Wuki, YOOKiE and Holly among others. Check the tracklist below and be sure to tell a friend! This is going to be massive.

New future heat from Lil Texas

Lil Texas (M|O|D Music) is back with a SOLID four track EP 4 Ever on the uprising Japanese label Trekkie Trax. Fans of his previous work will definitely get down as the EP continues in the same vein of club bass + shimmering synths + juke & jersey influenced drum programming. If anything it’s just a slightly more developed form of the same Lil Texas we’ve come to trust with our ear drums & subwoofers.

The EP has garnered early support from Skrillex’ Nest HQ. Long time supporters, they premiered the single ‘4 Ever.’

The release on Trekkie Trax is a good look as they’ve been making a lotta noise in the past few years with an extremely heavy output of some of the best in forward thinking dance music. Lil Texas joins a roster that includes Carpainter, Seimei & Masayoshi Iimori. Stream below.

For this week’s installment of FUXWITHITFRIDAYS we’re mixing things up. Instead of us putting together our list of selects, we had MOD crew’s Lil Texas and Yung Satan give us their picks. The two are fresh off their collab ‘Private Yacht,’ so it felt only right that they come through for a little B2B selection. There’s a ton of under of the radar heaters and innovative sounds in here. Lil Texas & VenessaMichaels Unleash Must Listen Club Record ‘Without You’

A collaboration between Lil Texas & VenessaMichaels was destined to happen. After sharing a mutual respect for each other’s music for some time, Venessa finally made the move, “I finally hit him up, we realized we lived a mile from each other and made a track in a day and a half” she tell us. Don’t let the short turnaround time fool you, this tune is expertly crafted. ‘Without You’ is a melting pot of sounds and styles pulling in 90’s Rnb feels, classic hip-hop drums, raw trap horns and deep bass. All of this is tied together with a forward-thinking club sound that proves the genre still has its best days ahead of it. By the mid-section you’ll be falling in love and that Ja Rule sample will lock in your heart. I had to ask how the classic Rule sample ended up in the track to which Lil Texas replied,“don’t fucking worry about it! These are texas secrets!” jk it’s a Ja rule sample obviously cut from his classic track ‘Holla Holla’ not much more to it than that. Ja Rule > other rappers.” So there you have it.
