The song was so hot that rumors swirled that Less Is More could be a Skrillex side project. The rumours proved to be just that – rumours. Although some were disappointed, we were pleased to hear it. Arguably the best release since ‘Blow You Up,’ is a fresh remix of Lil Uzi Vert’s ‘The Way Life Goes’. Moore flips the melancholy vibe of the original for a more upbeat wave. A wide array of vocal tweaks and a double scoop of sunshine make this one beyond irresistible. This one will have you smiling from ear to ear and dancing wherever it comes on. Brasstracks Deliver Stellar Cover of Lil Uzi Vert’s ‘XO TOUR Llif3’

Back in March, Kash wondered if Lil Uzi Vert’s ‘XO TOUR Llif3’ would be one of the best songs of the year. While “best” is still highly debatable, it’s undeniably one of the biggest. There’s been a multitude of remixes and flips but the latest from Brasstracks stands above them all. Highly regarded for their ability to re-imagine works with their signature trumpet and drum-based sounds, the two prove once again why they’re two of the best out. The new rendition packs all the infectiousness of the original with an incredibly soulful feel. The trumpet takes the place of Uzi’s voice, belting out the hook and humming along throughout. You can hear it rapping each bar including the awesome delivery around, “All my friends are dead/Push me to the edge/Phantom that’s all red/Inside all white”. Thank you Brasstracks.

Does Lil Uzi Vert have one of the best songs of 2017?

I’ll admit, when I heard Lil Uzi Vert for the first time I immediately wrote him off. To be brutally honest, I thought he sucked and was certain that he would rise and fall quick. Boy, was I wrong. Uzi has been killing it, as is evident whenever I hit the hot spots in the 6 (shoutout Apt. 200, Edenhall, Cold Tea etc). Earlier this month, I found myself cleaning (get your laughs in now) to a YouTube mix and in an instant I heard a song that I knew would be one of the biggest/best of the year. To my surprise it was a track by Lil Uzi Vert. I ran the track back probably 10 times, feeling it more and more every time. ‘XO TOUR Llif3’ is easily a banger that will continue to heat up throughout the summer. Vert goes in over TM88’s dark but upbeat production and delivers a hypnotizing hook, bridge and set of verses. With 34.1M plays on SoundCloud, 11M views on YouTube and recently being added to Spotify and Apple Music as an official single for his LUV is Rage 1.5 EP, ‘XO TOUR Llif3’ is a certified banger. A$AP Ferg Unleashes ‘New Level’ Remix ft. Future, A$AP Rocky & Lil Uzi Vert

A$AP Ferg teased that he would be dropping something special on his birthday, and the newly 28 year-old definitely delivered. Ferg called upon his bro A$AP Rocky and Lil Uzi Vert for the remix of ‘New Level,’ the hit single off his latest album Always Strive and Prosper.

The remix is still as hard hitting as the original but employs some new lyrics to send a powerful message denouncing racism in our country. Ferg raps “Jim Crow is back at it” and “I’m feelin’ like f*ck the system now, cause all they do is shoot my people down.”

‘New Level’ was certified gold back in August, selling 148,000 copies while being streamed 52 million times on Apple Music and Spotify. Like the original, Future is also featured in the remix.

There’s more on the way from A$AP Mob as Rocky recently announced their collaborative new project Cozy Tapes is finally finished.
